Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

@Shaz51 aka "Babs" 😀

Can see you being stuck with this new nickname.

Thinking of you especially this morning.

Hope you did manage a bit of shut eye last night. Yes, do bring up your sleep issues with doc - it could be side effect but also even OTC meds to help with sleep have ++potential to interact with meds you are on.

Perhaps if Mr Shaz would be kind enough to tell MH services that he is happy for them to communicate/liaise with you. (Our mob have a standard form they get all patients to complete).

It is hard for the pdocs too. There is a lot of literature that shows family support makes for better outcomes when it is appropriate and I think that there is a lot of poor support out there, balanced against the difficulties a lot of patients have in being able to maintain relationships along with confidentiality rules.

Yikes @Shaz51 but a break away might be just what the doctor ordered ... Are the tickets flexible ... just in case?
