My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

This living space is too small for a card table to fit anywhere else @Shaz51 ..... but it feels mean that they can’t put up with a temporary card table with an interesting puzzle on it ..... but we have been under strain for so lonh it’s just best to remove any unnecessary arguements for how things are in this moment. As things change I might be able to bargain back my jigsaw table ..... or just set it up at one end of the meals table and forget to roll it up ..... lol .....

Have you plans for today Shaz?

Mr D raring to go at our end @Shaz51, currently walking the dog, after that he wants to see if we can get the whipper snipper going. He has not used this one before (newish - used once by a friend who was helping out.) Mr D could not get it started when he tried ... looking up the owner manual whilst having a coffee.

@Former-Member, '

I have a big smile on my face when i read this as Mr shaz has just spent time sharpening the chainsaw for a trimming job

we picked up the whipper snipper from the repair shop -- cost $140 and mr shaz got it home and he is spending time on it as it does not sound right , rang up the repair shop and they said they will fix it for free but he is spending all morning on it

@Former-Member, just asking if mr @Former-Member is affected by noise sometimes

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Some noises do concern Mr D @Shaz51, he does not like the washing machine or dryer to be running at certain times (ie during a meal) and will often mute the TV if he has something to tell me (usually what I call his 'OCD talk' but sometimes other things).

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

This is in contrast to power tool noise which does not bother him @Shaz51, getting Mr D to wear adequate ear protection can be a problem with mower (nor so much whipper snipper or chain saw).
