Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

At different times he has been given antidepressants, anticonvulsants, antipsychotics, anticholinergics (when on one AP) and mood stabilisers, was given benzodiazapines to take prn but rarely took them and the same for some "z" sleeping tabs.

Currently on two @Shaz51 as well as two vitamin supplements.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I understand present regimen @Shaz51 as the combo has proven efficacy in BP. He has had a dose reduction to start minimising the adverse effect, not sure if we need to ask for earlier pdoc appt. I know we can only generally discuss drugs here in forum.

There is a lot of controversy in psych circles in relation to ADs and BP.

All very hard @Shaz51
I can get quite tense at appts esp in regard to meds. I think at the end of the day we want our loved ones to be as well as they can be.
Mr D does not give good information so that does not help.

Mr D does not give good information so that does not help. --- that is why all mr shaz MI team has cancelled all help because of mr shaz -- it is hard @Former-Member
