My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

might have to look that word up @Former-Member

He was feeling very slack today , for a fair while now he has said there is something wrong with his memory ,

today he forgot all about yesterday , I know he won`t go and see a gp , he is not rememering things and when i say i told you about that and have to keep reminding him of things that are happening

Might pay to document these observations @Shaz51 does he have regular checkups for where the issue could be raised?

@Shaz51 I don't want to add to your burden, I find if I don't write things down I lose track very easily esp when there is added stress. It has been so helpful for me as I have been able to refer to these notes. With so much happening at present I am finding if I don't note sleeping hours in Mr Darcy's mood chart I forget what time he goes to bed even by the next day.

@Determined my dear dad had an old saying about one having "soot on the liver" and being in need of "hepatic decarbonization"

(The saying originates from a humorous story about Santa who suffered an occupational hazard of soot on the liver and became a school teacher. When Claus did this the effect on the other school teachers was so startling a new set of rules was to be drafted. There was to be no housie-housie played in schools and no snack bars in playgrounds.)

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello my up and down friends

Been a sad week for me as a friend died suddenly, she was one of a couple of understanding friends who I would try and meet for coffee or lunch once a month.

Counting down the days until Mr D's surgery, he is not coping at all well. Have to smile though, he is using the walking frame a bit at home, but will hide it if visitors come...
