Hey @soul
How are you going?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I'm okay @Former-Member - just feeling a bit restless. Reading about little trips away that people here are doing is making me feel like I need a getaway. And don't even get me started on Facebook. I have friends all over the world at the moment.

Perhaps a trip may be just what the doc has ordered @soul, even a weekend away with just a little indulgence sounds like bliss to me.

Must look into it @Former-Member. I used to be continually on the go. Have become a bit of a hermit now.

Back to your other home @Faith-and-Hope - how does that feel? Besides being in a different time zone. What's the plan now? How are the rest of the family doing?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Morning @soul .... 🤗💕

Having been away takes on a dream-like quality very quickly, wherever I land, whether it's here, Melb or wherever there is a familiarity to my surroundings. Here is where I associate with being "at home" though .... despite a huge backlog of disorganised stuff hovering in the background.

That just reminds. me of how much chaos has ruled in our lives, so I try to stay numbed out to it, and just organise, incorporate, or give away progressively.

There are a series of doors which need to open to facilitate our "move" .... one of those being a uni application, so from here it will be baby steps in several directions at once, including house-hunting for S2, and making connections with a psych team in Vic.

Next thing on my agenda today is a shower, then getting my toosh on the road for a walk.

How is your day shaping up ?

Wow @Faith-and-Hope - seems like you really have to go with the flow and try not to be dumoed by those big waves. Seems like you have found some way to cope with it. You must be a very resilient person.

Enjoy your walk. I have been out for one, picking up some fruit and veges along the way. It's a case of same old for me today.

There can be peace of mind in "same old" @soul .... smell some roses along the way .... or fruit maybe ... 😁
