If people have a problem

I try not to make it my problem

Other people's problem is their problem

And

Not my problem

I try to look after myself

And be independent

And stand on my own two feet

Again

Other people's problem is their problem

And not my problem

And taking the lower position

Is a good negotiating tactic

But why should i feel like i need to negotiate

Why should i feel like i need to negotiate

I might figure it out later

Am i Mr. Black

Or

Am i Mr. White

I might be both

It doesn't matter if your Black or White

this is a verse from a poem. A book I came across today. I will post a verse at a time.

It doesn't interest me

what you do for a living.

I want to know what you ache for

and if you dare to dream

of meeting your heart's longing.

next verse

it doesn't interest me how old you are.

i want to know if you will risk looking like a fool

for love

for your dream

for the adventure of being alive.

it doesnt interest me what planets are

squaring your moon...

i want to know if you have touched

the centre to your own sorrow

if yu have been opened by life's

betrayals

or have become shriveled and closed

from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with

pain

mine or your own

without moving to hide it

or fade it

or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy

mine or your own

if you can dance with wildness

and let the ecstasy fill you to the

tips of your

fingers and toes

without cautioning us to

be careful

be realistic

to remember the limitations of being human.

My shadow is always with me.

It follows me, dark and mysterious, hollow and empty.

It grows and reduces, moves around and is still.

It echoes my fears and pain.

It holds my nightmares and memories.

As the sun fades and night falls, my shadow becomes me.

The darkness around me becomes the darkness within me.

It overtakes every part of me and takes control.

The nightmares become reality once again and the pain increases.

A way out seems impossible.

The days merge into one continuous struggle of survival.

Reality is lost.

Hope is gone.

The future doesn’t exist.

The past has won!

I find myself again on this site being unable to click like.

The reason being I felt deeply the feelings and thoughts that you were converying.

I felt compassion and sadness.

My natural reaction is always I want to do something to show that I am listening, that you matter.

So I am not going to press like I am just going to tell you exactly that, "I am listening and you do matter"
