Family triggering stuff
Feeling trapped with a mother that plays the victim, is ungrateful and makes it all about herself. It’s doing my head in, literally.

I waited too long to say what needed to be said. Now it’s said I’m not going to make it easy on her in terms of apologies. Too easy for her to wriggle out of it when the other person always apologises.
I will now call her out on her ascerbic comments e.g. if you don’t want to be “shoved downstairs” in the new house I bought so it would suit you then you don’t have to live there.

I still struggle with passive aggressive types. I've found some success in focusing less on the aggressive components and more on the passive side. Seemingly but not really ironically, sometimes the answer is leadership. Passive people want to be led. It's kind of their thing. You can draw all the maps you want but some people aren't looking for the map, because they're fixated looking for open doors.
It takes all types. And we're all that type, sometimes. Like the old saying "people don't care how much you know unless they know how much you care."
