APPROACHING SURE?

APPROACHING SURE?

I had a drive into the country yesterday to attend a christmas lunch with people that I did not really know. I am needing to process what happened. If anyone would like to respond.

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

I am as okay as a really crazy zany lady will be.

My son and I had a cosy comfortablility .. no huge highs .. a bit lazy and self indulgent .. no bad vibes .. a couple of hugs and few kisses .. his father is coming to pick him up tomorrow

a friend has just dropped around .. a late Santa .. and they are nattering ..

Kids can work through the experience of divorce .. and the wounds mothers carry can heal too.

This is R & R time for you. The eternal feminine will help you .. it is alive and well here.

Hi @Appleblossom....

Sorry I missed your thread - just went through & read it all....

Don't know how you keep trying to engage socially...

I have become very gaurded - recent events makes that even more important for me.....

I think I know what you mean about getting spoken over?? - so many people do it to me - I am a listener, but feeling heard is important to me... when I had anorexia, then diagnosed EDNOS it always felt like a silent scream - I wrote a poem when I was 15 called the silent scream... I give up & think obviously what I have to say is not important...

As always I don't feel like I have anyhing to offer...

But read it all, trying to understand & care,

Ahimsa - Namaste,

Anna

Keep on swimming AB. To untangle emotional triggers take a life time. You sound amazing to me. To be sensitive is to be human🙏Best wishes.

Hello @Former-Member xx i have been wondering where you were my friend xx

Hello @Appleblossom, @esprit, @Former-Member, @Former-Member , how are you today ??

In response to: Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Re: APPROACHING SURE?

Thank you @esprit

swimming suits me .. my surfing days are over .. 'cept the net .. I will go back and do laps again one day .. but not just yet.

I am ok @Shaz51 head pain and bit strained and rattled but have 2 nights in house to myself which will be lovely. Hope you are recovering.

Dear @Former-Member I think you have a lot to offer .. that the world needs more people who are careful of their footprint and impact. Your vulnerability is high but there is strength also .. because you did not follow the crowd .. and made personal choices .. I dont know more because your generation is also a bit of a mystery to me .. but true community involves multiple generations .. and some attempt to understand the others. I appreciate that you have come off your thread to look at this one.

Maybe being heard and respected for what you believe .. means finding like-minded people... and finding some form of armour to protect you .. but not too complete to prevent you from being in the world and others from seeing you. ..permeable .. for the good stuff .. but blocking the bad .. if that makes sense.

I dont know why I keep trying but I do.

I feel it is my destiny I guess .. more than any one romantic relationship .. if I give up .. then both my son & I are isolated .. so its partly the mum in me .. but also .. personal to me alone ..because I had such a weirdly different childhood .. I have unusual insights .. I can feel safe in a large group institution ... I know what it is like to be in many different family constellations .. I also find I get signs .. that help me believe it all has some meaning... nothing mindblowing .. but the positives and negatives are oddly balanced .. and I am a science nerd.

As in Christmas Eve was a fantastic night til it flipped in a flash .. one moment ... kind of like .. "go" where a whole line can swap sides in one turn.

I also do believe in social learning models .. but far more in a spectrum manner than .. simple social skills instruction ...?? Good manners got me in and out of trouble .. swearing fits in with certain groups and not others .. no one size fits all ..

So I am beginning to get that this forum.. is social learning ... for more than just me .. all us adults learning together .. not just facts & information .. but getting along ..

Glad you are still here .. popping in whenever

I was very sad when I read your 'Paranoid" post .. but it also made me feel very close to my dad .. as my mind skipped straiht to him .. that is what he suffered a lot with .. but he was also weirdly social ... people are paradoxes .. and often contain opposites ... its what to do with it ..

Bye for now.
