@ArraDreaming We can miss people even if we're better off without em. We can miss the idea of people, or miss what they could have been for us, or what they were supposed to be. We can miss the good moments even if there were also a lotta bad ones.

Didn’t like my dad but I can say i think about some things he did and it cracks me up cause he was so simple minded, pretty sure his brain was made of 40% rocks, 30% illicit substances and 30% grog, not a single thought behind those eyes lololol what a unit 🥸

I loved my nan. She also had depression. We had a special bond. Not bragging, but I was her favourite grandchild.

I remember learning about 'continuing bonds' at uni @Birdofparadise8 - that whilst the person may have passed, our relationship with them doesn't. Just thinking about your desire to call her, and thought if there was stuff you'd wanna express to her you could always write it in a letter.
