Hmm, I'm not sure what to say then. That's what I'd do if people were saying those things to me when I was being bullied and also online at times.

Redditors as a whole are soooo prone to mob psychology @ArraDreaming one person will say something without any real basis and then 100 people will jump on the bandwagon with absolutely no critical thinking involved. Sounds like you made a reasonable post with good intentions and then got unlucky with which redditor decided to come make comments on it. I've been downvoted into oblivion on that website too, and for stuff I thought was genuine and worthy of conversation. It's a bit gnarly, but they don't know you or your story and so none of their judgements hold any value.
