Anxiety and holding down a job

Anxiety and holding down a job

I’m an introverted person who at 37 still lives at home with parents and is unemployed. I’m feeling incompetent at anything that I do. I had a previous job of only 2 and a half weeks before I had paranoia and left. I feel like I can’t be around people for long as I’m always overthinking people’s body language and interpreting them the wrong way. I’ve had bad thoughts about life and just not wanting to continue. I’m on low motivation and not feeling social at all. I get scared every time I job seek because of how I’ll fail at the job. I previously had a job offer which caused me a lot of anxiety as it was a job dealing with kids and adults. So I ended up declining it. I’m always wanting to sleep to past the time and can barely stay awake during the day to do anything. Looking at my past I’ve only had a job for just over a year as the longest period. The past few jobs have been only for a few short weeks. I’ve previously suffered from mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, psychosis and bipolar disorder. I just feel like I want a way out.

I can't recommend any as I didn't use any, however, I know people (clients) have used ezy maths tutoring. It's not just maths though. I think they are Australian. Have a look. @CL88

I've got a family here in Melb that really want tutoring for their child but can't find a tutor. They have been asking me if I can tutor him, but just don't have the time to do 1:1 tutoring at people's houses. They said they have been phoning all the agencies and the agencies say that there really aren't enough tutors going around.

So maybe here's your chance @CL88

@tyme I’ll look into Ezy Maths. What subject and grades did you tutor btw? I don’t think I can do high school level as I’ve been out of school for so long.

I did all year levels but a lot of them were little kids @CL88 . I did uni students too and all subjects.

You can pick and choose who you want. I ended up dropping a lot because I simply didn't have capacity to have them any more.

But then I moved states, so I dropped them all. I didn't even have anyone to hand them to because no one wanted to do it.

@NatureLover well if it’s a reduction in my current medications I think they’ll view it as a positive thing. If it’s adding in more medications like an antidepressant I think generally they might worry. I just don’t want to tell them my suicidal thoughts. I’ve only told one other person of my thoughts.

How did this person react, @CL88 ?

@NatureLover This other person also has mental health issues so I could relate with him. He was a bit concerned and wanted me to notify my parents. But I was hesitant as I don’t want people to worry. Anyways I’m safe for the moment.
