Not feeling wanted

Not feeling wanted

So my ex and I broke up about a month ago now and he wants me to move out because the housing won’t allow me to stay if we aren’t a couple…

anyways so I’ve tried this whole friendship thing with him but now I just don’t feel like it is going to work out as friends, because he’s always lied to me and never been able to talk to me,yet he can talk to his friends, support workers and family about me if he has any problems with me and so it comes across as I’m lazy,a bit** and also abusive for staying in this house when I need to a bit longer because of my health as I have epilepsy ( he wants me out and to live in a shelter but won’t admit to that ) he doesn’t care at all about my health anymore he just wants me gone but he has never been able to tell me how he feels and so i always look like the bad guy,if I knew how he felt i would have tried to leave a long time ago..,reason I’m not at the moment is because my social worker and ndis don’t want me living in a shelter…(currently not on ndis I’m in the process of getting it)

so now I feel unwanted,I feel like I’m just this horrible person too and I wish I could just undo everything I ever did to ever hurt him

Re: Not feeling wanted

Hey @Singer_89 ,

It sounds like a very difficult situation. You need a place to live, yet you know things are not working out with you and your ex. It's sounds like you have tried to work things out.

Having a roof over our heads is a general necessity. We all deserve to feel safe where we live. When we inwardly have an urge to fight for a roof over our heads, it make cause us to think that we are the problem.

If the relationship isn't working, I hope you are able to find a place for yourself. You deserve better.

Do you have any friends or family whom you can safe with for a brief time until you find a place, whether it's a rental or boarding with someone?

Thank you for your reply @tyme

Unfortunately I don’t have any friends or family here in Tasmania, they are all in New South Wales,I actually recently got in contact with my ex fiancé who started to follow me on TikTok and he told me that I should try and stay at my uncles for a bit until I can find a place…he’s also told me that he still loves me and now I just do not know how to feel about it it’s all so confusing

Re: Not feeling wanted

Hi @Singer_89

Thanks for thinking of me @TAB

Hmm, wisdom.

Ok. They services suck. Sorry, it's the truth. There are many people who can give you support along the way. Look for good support people - even if it is Beyond Blue, 1800Respect, or here on SANE. There right state of mind, support, encouragement is the fuel that helped me keep going.

I'm the end, it was me that got out. Long story short - the housing services etc court not help me. I had to take matters into my own hands. Go against what people were telling me.

Hopefully, you are connected with NDIS now. They were integral in finding me a beautiful place.

You are not all those things, her says you are. Please don't blame yourself.

Try to keep the focus on you. What makes you happy? What do you want?

As @tyme mentioned, we take on these problems, that in reality have nothing to do with us.

Hope this was of help. I hope you have found new place to live & if not, you will. It took me approx. 8 + months! Ridiculous.

It is very difficult to move on, move out, move in. I wish you the best.

Re: Not feeling wanted

try to get help @Singer_89 there will be people who have walked your path before.

Sounds like ex was holding house over you. He threw you out. End off. housing would not have a clue who was doing what in their places much less care. I have hear of people who have 2 or more places eg.

Get somewhere for a night or few nights, talk to people. may have to suck it up for a while re accom like rels or share house or whatever
