Hospital oncology and extreme lack of understanding.
Hi...
Im somewhere on the spectrum, depends which doctor you ask...I gave up on the label, it doesn't seem to help. However now I have had the C bomb dropped on me and I am dealing with the oncology department at the hospital and I'm losing it.
They have zero understanding about dealing with someone on the spectrum who is in an emotional situation and having trouble coping.
The social worker there is a disrespectful ignorant person who somehow can't simply tell me where to access support services. They tell me different info from one doctor to the next one says 3 days on says 7 one saya it only day surgery. They change plans. They sprung things on me and they pepper my phone daily with nonsense I don't need to deal with and not the stuff I do.
Anyway I am at that overwhelmed point where I need to process this shit...but I need to know that last. Bit from the social worker and they piss me around tell me they will call back but won't say when won't listen to me say not in afternoon always miss calls from them in afternoon because. They don't listen..
I'm simply going 4o switch off and run away from life saving surgery because these people overwhelm me, won't listen and stop wverwhelmong me then they cancel my surgery or hang up and refuse to deal with me because I'm yelling or loud or flipping out because they simply can't communicate clearly and expect me to flicking be cool and calm even when there's saying. How can we help and I'm saying tell me where 5he support is and they're blabbing on with stuff that isn't an nswer.
Surely I am not the only one breaking because the lack of understanding in the hospitals is off the chart
