Hey there mods, if I'm treading on toes or breaking rules putting this up, I apologise for that, but you know how I feel about the layout, and how the easier (in my opinion) layout may help many more people.

I like the Sane layout better, i find the BB layout quite overwhelming and dated looking... BUT i am used to this space.. so perhaps its just that i'm more attuned to this layout.

hello @BlueBells and all others I have only been on here for a few weeks even though I now appear as a senior contributor not sure if that is because of my age, or perhaps I have made too many posts. I really still am a bit confused about the site. the hardest thing that I find is looking for old posts that I am reminded of. I say old but as I mentioned I haven't been on here that long. I will also say that I hate technology anyway and am not even going to look at another option which would only serve to confuse me further. mix that in with my mess of a mind at the moment - result disaster.

@Former-Member personally, I found BlueBoard very simple, just like looking at an index and choosing a thread.
Sane, so much scrolling, and the site, to me, is very "busy", it overwhelms me often.
You sound a lot like me 😉
BlueBoard has closed, that's why I'm here, but, curious about how others compare the two layouts 🙂

Hi @BlueBells, My forum experience is limited to this one so I am also used to it. I think it is sometimes a bit cumbersome to get around but have found once I stopped panicking about using it and let myself explore it I worked it out fairly easily. However, I have some formal training in web design so have a bit of a head start with it. I know that it is scary replying to someone's post the first time and having it appear 50 pages later. I think once I got past the fear it helped me relax and explore and understand it better. I did look at BB when the great migration happened and to tell the truth that scared me as much as this one did. I honestly didn't find it any less daunting than here. This is just my opinion. I know blueboaders have been very attached to that forum style and I'd imagine if that's where I started I would be too. I hope this helps.

Yes, quite probably what one is first used to, indeed 😉
For me, I found the way the BB page opened, and everything was "there", and simply choose where one wanted to go, and the 10 or so threads with most recent posts also there, was 'simplistic'.
To me, Sane requires a lot of scrolling and searching, and two things that get to me is, if I am stressed, I 'overwhelm' easily, and I have an rsi, that scrolling irritates.
I started this thread to learn how others compare the different format styles of the two sites.
