I guess Social Philosophy is different, @SmilingGecko. No maths required, thankfully. I turned up to SP yesterday but there was no class. I knew the teacher had a return of cancer, but I hadn't realised the rest of the year's classes had been cancelled. I thought someone else was going to step in. I hope she's doing alright and will be able to return next year. I really enjoyed her class.

Yes, @Taali, it's an interesting world. I tried to read Spinoza yesterday, but I think I chose the wrong book. He's deep!

Maybe it's because we have gone to the depths and back....

And then treading the murky waters 💧 of dealing daily with our various mental health issues

That said, I'd rather be living here for now!!

@Appleblossom I dont know if you are aware of this but typically wealthy people dont wear nice threads. They get around in cheap clothing. They wont spend money on anything. I think high end fashion is the province of the middle class (and also the poor that in this case cant budget and want to "express themselves with what they wear") I got the shock of my life driving past locals in Moe for the Moe cup when I used to go to that part of the state to stay with my ex who lived in the country. All poor people dressed up with nowhere to go, (except the cup) they looked out of place in their expensive clothing. It always stuck in my mind seeing these people getting along to a major local event walking down the street in droves with their designer clothing on looking very odd. The clothing was wearing them, they werent wearing the clothing. It did not look appropriate at all but it was an entire crowd looking like this

@Historylover To be honest I dont know just saw statistical permutations in my ex-brother-in-laws philosophy books. If you've enjoyed the class that is the main thing. Its no good the rest of the classes have been canceled due to cancer, I'm sure your teacher would appreciate your sentiments though. I love understanding human nature so psychology, sociology and astrology hold appeal to me. Its a shame that you cant get along to a group you really enjoyed, I know you like to keep busy and having something on to keep your mind active. Are you still getting along to bowls and I think tennis?

Hope your session today goes well enough. It is natural and to acknowledge feelings of anxiety, but I am not sure that it is that it is always helpful to jump to the .... whole identity attached to being 'I am mentally unwell' style of thinking.
