What are you doing at Tafe, @TAB? I need to keep my brain engaged with one thing or another, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing a Tafe course these days. I wish there was a Tafe for seniors! U3A teachers are so-so, but I have a very good one at the moment with a Social Philosophy class. I'm enjoying it very much and had never considered anything to do with philosophy before. It's not at all like I expected, but I guess it all depends on the teacher's ability to adapt to the classes interest in what she discusses. Frankly, I don't see anything exceptional about the philosophers, but I guess they made people think beyond their usual range. Hope it all goes well for you. How's the house, the garden and the fruit trees?

Yes I had a good birthday @Historylover I hope you did too! That class sounds good. I love anything that better helps me to understand human nature. I dont get along to groups as there is nothing locally really just neighborhood houses and community centres. I dont have enough time to squeeze it all in. My potatoes are growing, got to get some more potting mix to put on my potato bags.

In your response to @TAB's message @Historylover my ex-brother-in-law studied philosophy at uni and then he got depression. I've seen some philosophy books of his with complex math and statistical methods. I dont quite know enough about uni taught philosophy but that is what I saw.
I also study astrological philosophy - the work of Dr. Marc Edmund Jones from last century. It does not require maths with the advent of computers as you can look up the astrological correlations online or use a book with the planetary placements which you can use to reference the movements of the heavens. The Sabian Society used to put out tables for the daily philosophical readings of Dr. Marc Edmund Jones but you need to convert to your timezone. I love Dr. Marc. Edmund Jones' philosophy. My books have fallen apart from overuse they have been so relevant in my life

When I was teaching Gifted students in Melbourne my introduction of philosophy as part of the course and it was a real treat for both me and my students 😀
They just flew with it!!
It was definitely the right move, just getting them thinking and critiquing their world was amazing!
Really, I didn't have to teach much, I just opened the door and let them soar 🌬
What memories!! @Historylover
Thank you for bringing them back!

How are you today @Taali 🩷 So pleased to hear you're having a good start to the day! I hope it continues. I got sun sextile jupiter sorted at my GP clinic. Got what I wanted but will have to go back. More tests for me and forms to fill out for taxi voucher with the directorate. I should be successful if the people at the directorate give me a chance. Cant afford taxis to appointments like dentist. Costs an arm and a leg if you dont have a car and I cant get out on public transport for very long lol.

Hello @StuF 😊 I hope you are doing well. Nice to see you on here again today. Just brought bins in and doing budgeting. I hope I get taxi vouchers. My GP wants an appointment Saturday to fill out the online forms. Doctor also wants more tests

@SmilingGecko I really hope that you can get the taxi voucher thingo sorted out.
I'm feeling quite well both mentally and physically today.
I've been to my sister's and got some things sorted for her ✨️
Then to yoga, which I haven't been to in a while. They have a break every 6 weeks. Don't ask me why?
I'm yet to try calling the ATO so no bumps yet 😵
I truly hope everyone's having a good day 💓
