Re: Tabaluga's

@Spitfire1 lol, no apology necessary but there are definitely still a lot of Monarchists is Australia. My family are, as are a lot of my friends.

I am however a conservative and I find it is mostly conservatives who are Monarchists so it's probably 50/50 re the Monarchy these days!

Re: Tabaluga's

@Taali @Appleblossom yes my trip is my splurge - 50th anniversary trip for my bestie and I. Although it's now almost 53 years since we became friends!

We are doing a cruise from Barcelona for 7 days. It travels to France, Italy and Malta before returning to Barcelona and then we have 5 days in London. Bestie lived in London for several years so she's the perfect person to go with.

I have been making all of the arrangements though and it's been stressful trying to make everything fit. We looked at all inclusive packages but they didn't suit our wishes so it's been a few weeks of getting everything sorted out. Of course I had to wait until I got my inheritance so we leave on the 28th of this month and I still haven't booked accommodation in London or flights home. Nor have I got my passport yet!!

It will all come together though. I have faith! 🙏💜

@Taali how lucky was that dog that you found it?! It certainly landed on its paws with you that's for sure. What a lovely thing to do, hugs gorgeous xoxo

Re: Tabaluga's

@Bunniekins I am with you re daylight savings. That is one thing I am thankful for, living in WA. Despite a couple of referenda, it has been unanimously voted a resound NO for daylight savings here.

I do remember the jokes about the curtains fading and the farmers not knowing when to milk their cows but overall, we get enough sunlight during summer, we don't need extra.

As it is I am usually awake at 0500 in the mornings once summer hits because it is so light.

Re: Tabaluga's

@Taali Western Australia has had 4 referendums for daylight savings dating back to 1975. The last time was 2009 after we'd had a trial period of 3 years of daylight savings.

It can be difficult when dealing with the eastern states in business but on the whole West Aussies don't like the idea. We get enough sunlight in summer as it is. If they had daylight savings in winter I think it might be more popular.

When I worked for Telstra I would have to start work at 5am when daylight savings started, then it would go back to 6am once it was over.

Re: Tabaluga's

@ENELKI your trip sounds lovely and I'm sure you'll get all your bookings made in time.

A 53 year friendship is certainly something to be celebrated ✨️

I expect a few happy snaps and lots of fun travel tales 😊

I nearly "adopted " that dog.

I thought TTT would have to get used to it! LOL 😆
