just needs beef @SmilingGecko ha ha forequarter chops $25/kg now, loin, $37, not long ago loin was $25 and others $17 even roast $20/kg , some family size ones over $50 lol

going to local butcher now. way cheaper. they sympathised w supermkt when I mentioned prices saying sheep really dear now. But they have their own sheep, so dift ball game.

finishing off soup here, few extra things to taste @Taali @SmilingGecko been to shops, drove around the place, found quiet road to walk on.

turned burner on to heat soup after got home, got gurgling noise. I drowned it cleaning s I suspected I would so took apart and mopped w paper towels. this is dodgey one I replaced tip on after it broke, had to drill it out and bodged a new one w wrong thread from cr@p off ebay. it just holds and works, so dont want to be taking it apart too often,. genuine parts worth more than working 2nd hand stove lol anyway long story short turned it on again, made squeaky noise like part blocked, just wiped it over while on w paper towel. It went quiet , which means no obstruction. working prefectly now , ha

@TAB Yes meat is really expensive. I do buy organic but its mince. Works out to $5 a serve. I dont eat much meat. Am almost vegan now. I dont particularly like eating it anymore. Mince seems to be more versatile. You can toss it in anything. Theres so many mince recipes online and they are a cheaper cut of meat

yes prior to going to local butcher I was getting cryovac mince, realised after a while has funny taste , think its kangaroo, very lean, but tasteless. like kangaroo @SmilingGecko no label

@TAB yes its hard to know where its coming from. I did try a subscription with another mob once and the meat was like rubber. It came refridgerated from a farm i think in NSW. Im in Vic so I went back to the farmer i was with previously. I feel more secure on the knowledge of what im eating. I did check the photo of the farmer and his wife and they did not look like nice people so the farm was possibly run badly
