Re: not feeling right

As in things don't feel quite real @Eden1919 or things are happening that don't make sense? Or you're not feeling physically well? (I've had this, sometimes all at once.)

Are things OK with your family? Sometimes it's good to be with people and get the extra support, but sometimes it's complicated.

Re: not feeling right

@Dimity It is kind of like things feel very wrong like kind of not real only not exactly it is like the wrong things feel real and there is also an emotional and physical feeling that is hard to describe. My family is ok there has been some issues but they are not the sort of issues that anyone can help and it is no one’s fault just bad luck.

Re: not feeling right

It's good you can be philosophical about the family issues @Eden1919 . I get just not feeling right. It might sound silly but my gut feeling something's wrong can be literally visceral so I've tried to manage it as a physical thing as one possible strategy (diet, exercise, hydration). I used to get eye muscle dystonias from meds and still feel spaced out after too much exertion but if I can pace myself I feel better with exercise. I hope you don't mind my sharing all this, I don't know if it helps at all.

Re: not feeling right

@Dimity I don't mind you sharing. Yeah I am still feeling off and not right but I am trying to manage as best I can so that I can have the best Christmas possible. Still I didn't realise how exhausting masking all day and night is being with family all the time is exhausting because I am masking 24/7 and I need some down time I think.

Re: not feeling right

Masking must be soooo hard @Eden1919 . When I'm with family they dominate and I'm pretty quiet so I guess they mostly don't know or care what's happening for me. My parents passed away years ago.

What sort of downtime could you negotiate - or could you just withdraw for a while?

I sincerely wish you a good Christmas, I hope you can enjoy it. It sounds as though you're trying very hard to make the best of it.

Take care.

Re: not feeling right

@Dimity Yeah I ended up withdrawing a little but we are back at the main family home now so it is a little easier here but I am still having to mask a lot which is tiring. I hope your Christmas was good and that you had a good new year.
