You know what I was just thinking about that I have always loved?
It's what I like to call the 'do-over'.
sort of self-explanatory but when something goes really wrong, a plan, a birthday, a day, a conversation (have you ever had a holiday were just everything that could go wrong did? or tried to tell someone something and it all came out wrong?)
I like to say "you know what?" I'm having a do-over. I did my birthday over once because it all went so horribly wrong... I think a good mix of knowing when to give up for the day but *also* knowing when to try again, even if it means being a bit brave can be really helpful. I know it's been an important thing for me in managing through some difficult stuff.
I wonder if a do-over of this conversation is worth a go?
@ArraDreaming Do you wanna try explaining again to the folks here what's happening, and maybe others will be willing to try again too?

I had a holiday with my mum and dad, and we were in Noumea. We got lost and abandoned because we got on a sketchy bus, and no one would take us to return to the cruise ship.
Though it's not like we could have a do-over of the day.
