Welcome and getting started

New to this

Hello I'm Tara, feeling a bit hopeless unloved and if not for my 2beautiful cats I'd be totally alone.. where does one start??

I have bpd anxiety depression and wanted to link with others to show mutual support..

Wish there was a support group I could attend in my area, this is a great resource but being in the presence of people may be better???

Either way any support is better than none

Hey @SLARBERT ,

Sounds like a turnaround, eh?

Good on you for wanting to reach out to others and help. It is so fulfilling, even in my role as a peer worker.

We look forward to hearing more of your journey 🙂

Re: New to this

Hi @TaraLouise @SLARBERT ,

As you can probably tell by my username, I’m a survivor of BPD.

From the age of 17, right up until 34, I struggled immensely. The emotional roller coaster I was on came close to unbearable many times.

Fast forward, talking therapy sparked a turning point. The group and individual therapy was painful and intense, but it made a world of difference.

I now reflect back and consider my BPD life one of the most incredible journeys anyone could have.

When BPD was seen to, my depression and anxiety fell away.

Now, I never thought I’d say this, but life is just too good.

Just keep going @SLARBERT @TaraLouise . Recovery is absolutely possible.

Re: New to this

Glad to hear life is too good for you, I've had BPD since being a child im now 51 and I'll never be rid of it, the triggers are too many.

Therapy, meds, life changes I've done it all but not all BPD just goes away.

Yes it's treatable but unfortunately NOT for everyone...
