I find it upsetting when people assume you need to be employed to be your trained occupation

I *am* an unemployed librarian

Unemployed is the status not the occupation.

I am no less a librarian for being unemployed.

It is a lifestyle, I love the research side of things, been employed as a research assistant during my grad dip and really found my rhythm.

I love enabling libraries to be more accessible for the challenged in our communities... truly believing that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn...

@PeppyPatti I only Housesit friends places because of my intolerance to:

Clogged roof gutters. Overgrown trees and gardens

Unkempt lawns, grass wrapped around reticulation sprinkler heads.

Anything that is jammed, squeaks or doesn’t slide properly.

Dirty filters, fly screens, windows and doors.

Dirty grout or poorly grouted tiles that aren’t sealed.

Things that get stuck to my feet,

Myself and the space I occupy is the only thing I can control in life.

I have a library near me that the homeless feel comfortable in... they allow 7 hours computer time and it allows them to charge their devices and to help them get out of their situation.

I love that!

Homeless are people too...

I should know I was one of them...

I don't feel I have any control over my space. Mr Rocker get up late lies on the couch and suffers from trying to quit pot and smoking.

It's emotionally exhausting. I'm also still ( !!) freaking out from the damn operation that happened 20 years ago it feels but this is how it goes.

So I went on ai to get tips on how I do the home and today I'm just thinking about doing little wins. I'm cleaning out the outside porch and hope to ask Mr Rocker if he can help.

Hopefully our little holiday will help him. He went back to smoking again last week. Curses. I wish he would go to the doctor.

My support worker is getting a job with me. I'm hiring her to get my kitchen clean when she is away. She is a wonderful lady. She has to pay lots of money to the Government to live here as she is from another country. She is married with a 4 year old boy. He is already getting bullied at school because hei s from another country and the food in his lunchbox is different than other children.

Do parents teach their children that all children are not the same ??

He is a beautiful beautiful boy.

Anyway she wants to clean out my kit hen. It's a win win for both of us but I still feel ashamed.

So today I'll clean outside.
