Can totally understand your worries @ArraDreaming it's such a big thing hey. I really hope it passes, and shuts down all the fearmongering and ignorance we've been seeing. Be thinking of you and all the other mob in my life when I go to vote, that's for sure.

and the it’s not like I can talk about it anywhere because I get shut down and told I can’t talk about it
-,these are the things I got called on my local community page, they called it a “debate”
- a monkey
- a “fake” “ab0”
- a “non genuine” “aborigine”
- a leach of the government
- a pu$$y
And then had people mocking the flag and our country ceremonies
That doesn’t even scratch the surface that was all in a one hour period because I voiced my opinion

That's awful @ArraDreaming. But not everyone is like that. Last weekend my council invited a few people to a local conservation reserve to walk with a respected elder... it was really important to me and meant a lot.
I voted Yes a few days ago but walked past the polling place today and spoke to the Yes campaigners and they gave me a couple of Yes buttons and said to keep them as collectors items.
Respect. There's a lot of people supporting this, and we won't be going anywhere.

That's horrible @ArraDreaming I'm so sorry you had to endure that. I can see why this would be completely overwhelming for you, and understand why it is so hard to try to deal with it when so many wouldn't have a clue what it is like to actually live it.
Whatever happens, your kids are lucky to be growing up with such a passionate and protective dad.
