Something’s not right

Helpless

Helpless

I'm just not getting the help I need. And it's destroying me.

I have a mental illness. They call it anxiety, depression, and ptsd. But is it any wonder I am "sick" when the world around me is sick? I've merely picked up some bizarre communicable disease and never even received my valentines card to say thanks!

I'm a dysfunctional mess and feel left to rot in a back alley...

How can I find a support worker to help me?

Re: Helpless

when I was in the hospital over new year, the psychiatrist who referred them to me urged me strongly to make sure they stay with me and help me. I even told the acute care people what my psych told me, but it held no water whatsoever...

@Birdofparadise8

Yet if I was to say I don't mind dying, I'll have police come to "rescue" me... it's absolute bananas!!

It's so hard. I wish services like this would help more @Kyle1

Has your GP been able to help?

Re: Helpless

Good afternoon @Kyle1

Have you been able to find help? How are you doing today?

Re: Helpless

hi @Blackbird11

Thank you for asking, but no.

I've tried to secure a support worker using a link @tyme sent me, but to no avail...

I do know Sane has a good phone counselling service, but that's not what I'm needing right now...

Re: Helpless

Hi @Kyle1
It sounds like you are noticing what you need and are taking steps towards it.

Have you heard of these services Flourish, Hireup, Breakthru, Stride, Like Family, Neami National (some need to be NDIS registered) while you wait on availabilities for Mable?

Re: Helpless

@Kyle1 sounds so disheartening for you. Have you tried this site... https://www.thecareside.com.au/

I hope they are in your area and can help you 🙏
