Re: Dealing with Depression

Hi there @BernaBoz ! Welcome to the forums. I’m sorry to hear you have been dealing with depression for some months now. It can really take a lot out of people. I’ve experienced depression myself and had to manage it for years.

Healthy eating, enough sleep and pushing through with a regular routine was something that helped to some degree. Recovery was hard work, but it’s been worth it.

You are not alone.

Hi @BernaBoz

Welcome to the Sane forums.

I'm sorry to hear that your depression is high. I acknowledge how hard it can be for you.

It is hard to deal with it, especially when our depression effects our lives.

I try and have a goal for every day. On those bad days it might be getting out of bed and getting dressed. It is at least one thing I can accomplish in that day.

The other things I do a lot is journaling. I write down all my thoughts. Sometimes it helps getting them out of my head.

I also try and walk my dog most days. Even if it is only for 20 minutes, at least I have gotten out of the house.

Do you see any professional support at all? Even sometimes talking to someone can make a difference.
