I started this one in our first week away, but found the paints a struggle. Now I have had some success in learning to use them, I'm gonna have a go at finishing this one now.

Red, white, gray or black sand, crystal clear deep blue waters, Santorini offers some of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean.

Tales of Santorini ....

Walking tours of the volcano island Nea Kameni (newly burnt island) are available. You travel there by boat from the island's main port, often in an old wooden sailing ship, but modern catamarans are also for hire for this purpose.

20 minutes walk will take you to the top of the volcano where you will see still smoking craters and breathe an intense smell of sulfur.

You can also swim in the volcano lagoon, however the red sulphur waters will stain clothing and bathing suits.
