I love your cafe scene painting @Faith-and-Hope

It is so evocative for me ... cafes bustling .. cafes empty ... transparent tables .. old rustic ones ... the French Belle Epoque ..and Montmartre ..

Cant stay all the time in my head .. but sometimes its a pretty good hang out ... lol

So glad Melbourne took on cafe culture from its immigrants, but my first most powerful positive memories of it were in Hania as Lygon St at the time I worked there .. was seedier .. less cosmopolitan.

I'm glad you like the painting .... I knew it would be challenging, but these days I don't worry too much about that .... I just launch into it and see how it works out, fiddling with the balances of it until something works ....

This stuff is labelled acrylic, but is operating more like gouache .... but then you can only blend it while it is wet .... learning curve here !!

@PeppiPatty .... on @Former-Member's STM thread she mentioned coming home to a couple of rude "surprises" .... and not too happy about it ....

I hope things pick up for you quickly @Former-Member .... did you say you have more work available ?
