A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

The kids were great today @Faith-and-Hope - a complete 360 from yesterday so that was pleasing. We had some interruptions to our afternoon but they were good interruptions. One of the mum's brought a friend into the school with a baby lamb ...only a few days old. He was gorgeous and the kids got to feed him his bottle and then walk around outside with him. We also had their usual teacher come in at the end of the day to give out some questionnaires for something she is working on. All of that happened last minute so I packed up the kids early.

I am trying not to stress about the birdhouses - going to spend most of tomorrow getting as many done as we can. I don't have any duties so can work through recess and lunch as well.

I need to go out tonight to get some money out - my pay doesn't go in until later tonight and I am completely out of money. I need petrol (have been on empty for 2 days) and a few other things that will get me through the next couple of days until I can do a bigger shop.

My main aim tonight is to get through it. I knew this afternoon would be hard but didn't realise it was being presented by someone from the organisation I have been working with on Suicide Awareness ...then there was the expected triggers that I think I dealt with okay at the time. I did find myself 'wandering off' and 'playing with my hands' - 2 things I do when I am stressed or triggered. I think I hid it well enough though and got out of there as soon as it was finished ...didn't say goodbye to anyone - actually avoided everyone so it would not have been noticeable. The first thing I wanted to do when I got home was numb the pain but I have stopped myself doing that - hour by hour tonight.

❤️ @Snowie ....

I am around @Zoe7 . Helping D3 sort out some issues that are pressing for her, but we are getting there with it all.

The baby lamb sounds adorable ..... ❣️

Gently, gently Hon. Steadily working theough the moment, moment after moment, gets an awful lot of things done. The birdhouses will happen, and I am sure they have a therapeutic aspect too. You are so (art and) crafty, and you are teaching the kids how to problem-solve as you go. I am glad they were little angels for you today .... 🦋❤️

The baby lamb was adorable @Faith-and-Hope He was a very hungry little boy too and the kids loved to feed him. I have a beautiful phot of one of them (my challenging boy) holding him with other kids around him. I am going to send it to his Mum and to the office tomorrow morning - it would be great to have it in the newsletter. A few of the kids were a little scared so I took them aside and made sure they were okay. I felt like I had little Tobys hanging onto my legs but it made them feel safe.

I know we have to get at least half of the remianing birdhouses done tomorrow so we can put their rooves on when I get there Thursday. In my haste to leave today I forgot to charge the drill so will have to go in super early to do that. I have a corded drill but won't let the kids use it as it is too powerful. ...will resort to drilling the holes for them if I need to tomorrow though - anything to move them along. We always have Friday and Monday if need be. The kids can decorate them after the Art Expo if we need to as well. The Expo is on Tuesday and Wednesday and we set up Monday after school. I have yet worked out how we are going to display them - was going to make a tree out of the fence palings we have left but I don't think I will have time. If I can get my hands on some larger tree branches I could use them also - might need to go hunting over the weekend and see what I can find in the bush close to work.

I am actually calmer tonight that I expected but the FV stuff is taking up most of my energy so not a lot of time to think about the rest - will take tomorrow as it comes and just do what we can.

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope I feel sick tonight and not sleepy yet. I think it is going to be a tough night. Might set up on the couch to avoid the inevitable fears of bed island.

I do hope you have been able to help D3 and also had a little time to yourself

Hi @Zoe7 . I am here .....

I spent some time with D3 and S2 when I came home and I am just starting visual diary stuff for tomorrow now.

Hugs for how you’re feeling. Will some background music help ?
