Far and Away

I think it is great you are pampering yourself before your surgery @Sans911 ...and also that you are doing your shift at the op shop - you need to do the things you enjoy to keep you going for the other things you have to do. I can't believe that surgery is this week Hon - you will definitely be in my thoughts all week. Do you have someone looking after your fur babies?

Originally, my surgery felt like a long way away, even up to Monday last week. And then BAM, it's here already. It's like the last few days have been fast forwarded.

My mother finishes her housesit on Monday so she'll stay in my unit to care for the cats. Then she'll stay another week to help me out.

I am really pleased your Mum is going to help you out @Sans911 Makes it a little easier to know the fur babies will be looked after by someone they know. My babies have been looked after by my sister once before - she stayed at my place which made it easier. Toby might be okay if he stayed with her at her place but Cat certainly would not cope.

I know what you mean by things coming quickly. I only have 4 weeks left of this term on class and I think that is starting to factor into my stress. I have really loved being back on class and especially with this group of kids. Next term I will be back to the support role and that feels a little hollow to me now. It is what it is though and I am still at the same school so I am grateful for that. Next year is also playing on my mind - not knowing again where I will be or what I will be doing. Still very much hoping to stay at this school but also knowing the chances of that are unlikely.

I certainly hope that your recovery time is quick and uncomplicated. I am glad you have your Mum there to help you afterwards - it is no small thing and you deserve that support. You of course have all us here for moral support too Hon

Couldn't sleep again last night so moved to the couch @Faith-and-Hope Finally got a few hours so will definitely be trying for another couple this morning. It will mean putting off the cutting until later but sleep id more important right now. I hope you got more sleep and was uninterrupted by Mr. Enjoy our hair appointment and neck massage today Hon
