The kids are learning about hypotheses, predictions, constants and vairables and they came up with a great list to try out. Rocks was just one of them as the variable - they also came up with bark, scrunched up tissues, manure and air - really thinking outside the box. They are a pretty smart bunch for 1/2s and I am always surprised with things they can do and come up with. Some of their powerpoints on their animal research are really good - way more than I expected

The mountain is covered with snow tonight and I would not be surprised if it snows here tonight - it is sooo cold. I had duty at recess time and the chill from the mountain was biting - froze my little ears to the extent I couldn't feel them anymore ...brr!!! I doubt if it actually reached 7 here this morning and probably not much else during the day. Hope you are keeping warm there Hon.

Had dinner and cleaned up so settleing in now for the evening under the doona. Even Cat is inside out of the cold and of course Toby is snuggled in with me. None of us are likely to move far tonight lol

Yes, more Photoshop, and I have stayed back doing visual diary stuff tonight, not wanting to go home ..... but D3 has asked me to pick up a few things ..... and my mr. is breaking down family mealtimes by feeding D2 on her own, and delivering meals to S2 and D3 separately ..... and separate meal choices, so more often than not everyone is eating different meals from each other ...... and if everyone is fed before I get home then I am eating on my own while he is at the gym (doesn’t eat at that time of day anyway), so it feels lonely. His answer to any attempts to bring it together is that he doesn’t know (or care) what I am doing, so he is making sure everything is under control in my absence ..... emphasis on absence ..... 😡

Sorry ..... looks Ike I am not done whinging this week yet ......

He is yet again trying to paint you as the villian in all this @Faith-and-Hope yet he cannot see thatbreaking meal times up for each individual is actuallym separating the whole family. You can whinge away as much as you like Hon - it is such a horrible position for you to be in with no repsite or end in sight to it all. It is no wonder you do not want to go home as everyone will be in their own corner of the house and you left by yourself anyway. My heart aches for you Hon - it is slowly tearing your family apart but your kids also have part of you in them too and that care and compassion that you all hold is what also unites you. Very much hearing the pain of all this sweetheart and how much it is affecting you. Please never be sorry for any rant - 100% here for you

I managed to get the girls together to eat tonight @Zoe7 , because D2 hadn’t eaten yet, and D3 has had enough energy to get up to the table this evening.

I have spoken to the kids about this. It’s usual when the family had grown up that everyone is own their own schedule for the day, so we all need to make a concerted effort for it to happen. When I was cooking the family meals that happened more easily because the kids would check in with me, but mr. competed with me to provide meals for the kids, and part of avoiding “competition tension” over the kids, I have to let go of whatever I can that comes under that strain.

A major part of that problem is that he is treating the kidults as if they were children.
