A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

I agree @Snowie @Shaz51 ❣️ Both that your Mum is lucky to have you caring for her @Shaz51 , and that you need to look after yourself too ..... 💐💕

Lol @Zoe7 ..... my brain was thinking it was Tuesday !! :face_with_rolling_eyes: .... I think I am in the right day now.

I did get some errands done, and stumbled across a free art exhibition in the process .... it’s illustrations for children ..... you would love them I think - you too @Snowie @Shaz51 .

Next in me list is coffee ☕️❣️

I'm sure it would get too much at times @Shaz51 You do suck a good job of juggling it all around. I don't know how you do it at times.

The art exhibition sounds nice @Faith-and-Hope

Coffee is on my next to do list too!!

Re: Far and Away

It is definitely Thursday @Faith-and-Hope - otherwise I have had the wrong day off lol

The art exhibition sounds like a wonderful find today and a nice detour for today. I am sure I would have loved it too - showed the kids yesterday some of Robert Ingpen's work and they were really interested. I thought it may be a little too advanced for the grade but they wanted to see more. We spent way too long going through google images but they were entirely engaged and those moments are often ones you need to go with the flow with.

Have slept most of today and done very little work so will need to do some tonight and then more on the weekend than I wanted to do. Hopefully the rest today will help me be less tired over the weekend though. Tomorrow is pretty much organised already so I am not too stressed about it.

Planning on an early night so I can get into work early and try to organise a few things before the kids arrive - then I will have less to do after school.

How has the rest of your day been?

Hi @Shaz51 @Snowie @Maggie and all passing through

Re: Far and Away

Everyone coffee’d now @Snowie @Shaz51 @MDT @Maggie @Zoe7 ?

There hasn’t been too much rest-of-the-day @Zoe7,. I vacuumed today, which was long overdue, but felt good when I was done. Mr. is all up for having cleaning help ongoing, but I don’t like it. My lot get irresponsible about cleaning up after themselves, and if everyone was considerate and did a little at a time, it would all get done, but it’s not happening ....

I have had cleaning help before, but I have generally kept it to floors and bathrooms, and expected the kids to be responsible for their own rooms ..... S2 has turned down cleaning help because he wants to develop that responsibility. I think we might end up back at floors and bathrooms support in our home space because everything is so chaotic, and with mi struggles and chops and changes everywhere, at least that gives a baseline. I think it’s time to give way to that, and let everyone worry about their own tidiness habits around it. When / if we move to the bigger home, I will keep my bedroom out of the cleaning looo, which I have done before too, to keep a sense of my own space and my own way of doing things. It just doesn’t feel like home to me if there is not a sense of privacy and ownership of how we live .... but hubby’s people cone from different values there, that’s been part of his switch.

That turned into a bit of a race, didn’t it ?!
