A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

I hope you can get enough sleep and get things organised that you need to before Monday then Hon. I am still finding it really hard being here but will look out for you over the next few days. Going to head off now and snuggle with Toby on the couch. Your niece is curled up next to the heater so both fur babies are happy. It is so good having you back @Faith-and-Hope Sending many hugs and so much love your way. 🌹💕🌺🌸🌷💐😘

Goodnight @Zoe7 - nice to see you briefly.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope - I just read what happened last night. How awful to return to that.

Thank you my @Zoe7 🤗

Its soooo good to be able to post again, although I feel like I will be a bit flat (flattened !) for a while .... the rollercoaster is more intense while we are away, both highs and lows .....

Sleep well, kiss the fur babies for me, and I will look forward to our next catch up.

I expected that rollercoater to be just that for you while you were away Hon so no surprise you are flat now. I will try to catch you tomorrow but if I don't you know I will be thinking about you. I will kiss the fur babies for you Goodnight @Faith-and-Hope - as always my life is just that little bit brighter now you are back. Love ya

@Sans911 Goodnight to you too

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Sans911.

I sorta knew it was coming, but I am highly visual, so the visual impact is intense, and unfortunately compounded.

I have had housing upheaval - floods, leaks, in-house renovations, repairs, extensions, rapid pack-up-and-moves - seemingly forever, and it has accelerated and spiralled these last ten years with hubby’s altered state of mind. It makes it a compounded trauma each tome I am confronted with it again, so I am feeling a bit fragile and overwhelmed.

If the new hpusing plans come together though, it will give hubby a zone within the house to live the way he is going to continue doing until something changes his trajectory, which will give the rest of us a normal sense of home within the rest of the space, hopefully .... and room we need to get properly organised.

To that end, I need to grit my teeth and just get through the home-opens ..... and avoid the box, bags, and furniture dump in the art space ..... which means avoiding the art space ..... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Argh !! So feels like we are going around in circles !!!

My results were good from last semester ✅

There ! I found something to be positive about .....

Re: Far and Away

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7 and anyone else here today.

F&H sounds like something big went down for you yesterday - hope the dust clears today. I looked for the Need a Shoulder thread Zoe mentioned but can't find it. If you'd like to chat just tag me there.

Take care all and have a gentle day.

Re: Far and Away

Need a Shoulder is on the Carers side of the forum @eth.

We are in the thoes of another, sudden house sale here in the east ..... with an expectation that we will be able to buy a different home that has a “granny flat” set-up within the house ..... it has come up for sale near us and would make life a lot more manageable. My hubby’s daily regimen has caused him to monopolise our tiny kitchen and laundry spaces, and trying to work around this is adding to our strain. The “granny flat” has its own tiny kitchen and laundry, and bedroom and study nook, and considering that he also barely sleeps so makes noise and bright light in the kitchen at all hours, perhaps it starts to make sense that we need some separation from these practices.

To achieve it quickly our current home was reduced while we were away (found out about the other unit a couple of days before we left, with the uni semester incomplete for three of us and a major family occasion in the west the next night) ..... and as a result we have a massive new furniture and possessions dump in the art space .....

Confusing much ?

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Faith-and-Hope and good morning.

Sounds like another major upheaval for you. Hope you manage to keep your studies up through it all. The change to having a granny flat for Mr F%H sounds like a very positive one for you and the dragons. Life could well be a lot more peaceful for you all. Hope you get the place you want.

You must be missing your art space.

Hope today has less chaos in it for you and you find a peaceful spot to tuck in to.

Warm wishes xx
