A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

It does seem a contradiction that Mr is travelling more rather than less to try to combat the tiredness @Faith-and-Hope but the up side is more stability for you all while he is away and that is a good thing.

I started to fall asleep on the couch again so headed to bed early once more. I don't feel like I have had enough rest over the weekend but it needs to be enough. I am however a little more awake this morning than I have been feeling in the mornings so I hope that carries over to an okay day at work.

I hope you have a great day - will look out for you across the day when I have a break. Hugs and hugs

Hi @Zoe7

I am having trouble finding my get-up-and-go this morning. I did close the heavy blinds last night, which I did last time Mr. was away, and I think that has helped.me sleep more deeply. I hardly noticed him moving around during the night, and dozed back off after waking around 5am. Caught myself snoring a couple of times lol ..... backlog of sleep debt is catching up on me.

I hope your rest is enough to get you through the day Hon. There might be some natural teas that give an energy boost. Peppermint is one, and citrusy ones do too I think.

Re: Far and Away

That is the image I am painting currently @Faith-and-Hope I haven't been back to it for a couple of months though - think that will have to wait to the holidays now - and of course I am putting my own colours and style into it. This was the one I had hoped to do while you were away so I could show you when you came back but life gets in the way ...but I will get back to it

I am glad you had a bit more restful sleep last night but I get that 'can't get moving' feeling. I was a little better this morning - actually got to work early - then found out I was taking the 1/2 class for the morning. It wasn't a major drama - the work had been organised for me so it was some time supervising them before school, their usual daily fitness then some sounds work and a story. It all went okay but they were definitely a lively bunch who needed constant reminders to be quieter - talk less, work more lol

I had a pretty good day today - did not feel as tired as I did last week and was occupied in breaks doing some assessment work for my kids I have tomorrow morning. It is not hard work - just monotonous but needed to be done. I actually felt better when I finished this afternoon (stayed later to do that). Also been to the supermarket for dog food and a few other things and now happy to be home.

Got a little preparation to finish off tonight for tomorrow but other than that I have a pretty quiet - and restful - night planned. Hope you have had a good day and found a little extra energy to get through. Loved getting your message in my break today - always makes me smile when I see your name come up

Re: Far and Away

I am so glad to hear you had a better day today @Zoe7 . Hopefully the tide is turning on that fatigue .....

I was hoping it was okay to

send you the peacock 😊

Mr. has cooked dinner for the kids at home without me .... grrr ..... so I have asked him to stall it until I get home so we can all eat together. D3 was off sick today, so she is already there. It’s part of him pushing me

to the side. Hopefully he will

listen, because it’s power play the kids can do without too. He plans to go jogging at 6:30pm, so he is suiting himself and not bothering to include me in the loop.

Just got a message to say that he has put it in the oven 🎉 .... that’s nicer.

Re: Far and Away

At least he has got something prepared for you also and is keeping it warm for you @Faith-and-Hope - that is at least thinking of you a little but still frustrating that he is doing things without you and playing the 'hero' in it all. This is just one of those things that isn't worth the fight over though Hon - as you would already be thinking I suspect. It will give you more time to spend with the baby dragons and especially D3 if she is unwell. I hope she improves quickly and can get back to uni.

I am doing a 2 day PD next week to begin the week - I am the only one from the school going to it so it will be a little stressful not knowing anyone there but it is something I am pleased they are letting me do. I will be able to tell you more about it after I have done it - much of that is because I don't know what to expect myself.

How was uni today? What amazing things did you learn in your lectures today?

Re: Far and Away

He hasn’t prepared for me too @Zoe7 . He bought a few vegetarian things the other day that I “can have if I want them” which gives the kids enough of an impression that he is including me to get him off the hook about it, but if I hadn’t sent a text to ask about dinner plans, I would have come home to find that the kids had eaten early because he had set it up that way.

That aside, it’s nice that he set the dinner aside for the girls, but S2 went ahead and ate anyway (because he is running on his own rails just focusing on ticking boxes at the moment) and D3 is asleep.

Enough of that though .... it’s messy and it’s going to keep happening until there is a realisation that it’s not ideal ....

Anyway, soooo glad to hear you are going on professional development training days 🎉. Go you ❣️

I had a drawing class today. We are working in charcoal, drawing white objects, so all the character of them needs to be found in their individual shapes, shadows and textures. There is nothing else to go on.

My second class was digital

photography. I am learning how to transfer photos from the camera and save them in different formats. It’s all a bit mind-boggling at the moment, but as with everything else, I will catch on progressively ..... with you get students doing rings around me of course 😏

Re: Far and Away

That makes it even more frustrating with what Mr is doing @Faith-and-Hope

It at least isn't a whole family dinner without you being there if S2 is eating early and D3 is asleep.

Your drawing class sounds fun - that is the kind of things that you can do with any object and still do in your own style. I would love to see something you could post - if that is possible!

I am sure you will catch on with the digital photography - it may take a little extra study and some help from your baby dragons but you will get there. It is nice to have your kids help out - it shows them that you are stepping outside of your comfort zone as well.
