Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

So glad it was a relaxed dinner with visitors @Faith-and-Hope Hope the rest of your evening was nice as well. I have taken time to get moving this morning and also planning on a jammies day for most of the day. I need to go out to the shop at some stage and should do some washing but apart from that going to take it really easy. I have little motivation to do anything but I am also not putting any pressure on myself knowing how tired I was last night.

Hope you have a wonderful day Hon - I am going to be on and off here a bit today but will look out for you. Hugs and hugs

Re: Far and Away

Morning @Former-Member 👋💕

I can see you have been up and reading through notifications, presumably. I have woken up early after what has become my usual stint of sleep, around 5-6 hours, but I am hoping to doze back off again for a while. I think I did an iPad face-plant a bit earlier in the night too, which all counts, but I reckon I have a sleep debt anyway ..... and today is going to be a very warm 27 deg apparently.

Hoping you are still sleeping @Zoe7 , and that your pyjama day yesterday was restful.

Mine was on the go, pretty much, with the visitors asking when I ever get to rest ..... and they have noticed that mr. remains constantly on the go, and revved ..... and they are very concerned about his physical appearance. It really is a polar extreme from where he was 10 years ago, and to them he is looking very unhealthy. What can I say ? I just state the obvious - he has taken his new lifestyle to an extreme, which is what his former one was as well.

Anyway .... looking forward to today. Taking the visitors to church with me this morning, then out to some beautiful parkland not too far away for morning tea, or lunch, or both, depending how long we stay .... There is lovely birdsong there, and water, so hopefully it will be restful for all of us. Leaving the kids at home, so hopefully mr. will leave them be too, with the visitors off his case and taken care of.

Hope the day is somewhat restful for you too @Former-Member 🌷. Feeling for you Hon.

Good morning @Faith-and-Hope

Yes I was up several times overnight, still not sleeping. Getting warmer here too after a couple of nice cool (under 30C) days. Will be getting slowly warmer until Tuesday, before cooling off again. Summer is almost over ... by the calendar at any rate ... at last. As the end to February slowly approaches.

I wonder are your visitors talking to your Mr about their concerns, or are they only talking to you about them? Might it help for someone other than you to mention concerns over his behaviour and appearance to him?

It does sound like your planned day will be a lovely one. I certainly hope thats the case. Church, parkland stroll, morning tea, casual lunch ... all in the company of nature, birds and the sound of water . Aaahhhh ... nice.

For me, the day started as usual. Waking hubby up to take his pre-breakfast meds. But he decided he wasnt going to get up for breakfast today, and has rolled over and gone back to sleep. He didnt sleep last night until 4am or so, so he is attempting to make up for it now. I can sympathise of course, as I too would love to go back to bed and sleep. Looks like his post-breakfast medications will have to wait until he is up and eaten, which will likely be lunch time. I really wish he could be better, its so depressing seeing him so ill over such a long period of time. And its hard knowing there is nothing I can do, other than shovel medications down his throat.

Hi @Zoe7 . Will you be watching the final of the BBL this afternoon? Yes I was naturally very disappointed that my Sixers could not conjure up a win against the Renegades on Friday night. They started so well too and I began to think they might just do okay. But the Sixers fell away badly in the second part of their batting innings, they needed the 200 they had earlier looked like getting. 180 was always going to be gettable, and unfortunately a few fielding lapses by the Sixers through the Renegades innings, allowed them to get home with a ball to spare. At least it was a thrilling match, which is more than I thought it would be before it started. So my prediction was right that it is now a Melbourne derby to conclude. I would much prefer it to have been your Hurricanes vs my Sixers. I will probably watch the match today though, and will be hoping that the Renegades beat the Stars. Though unfortunately, if I were to be betting on the outcome, I would be betting on the Stars. Simply because of their stacked team of Stars, literally. Half their team are Aust reps in the short forms of the game. Oh well ... hopefully this prediction of mine will be wrong.

Re: Far and Away

I ended up sleeping most of the day @Faith-and-Hope I did get out to the shop so I don't have to go out today. Did the washing so that is something. Got some cleaning up to do today but nothing that really can't wait. Still very tired so not pushing it at all.

I have taken time to get up and moving even a little bit today knowing this is my first full week at work so definitely mindful it is going to be tiring. I also have an early appointment on Wednesday so will be up early every day this week.

Your day sounds lovely - hoping you have a wonderful morning out with your visitors. It will be nice to take in a bit of nature after church and have a relaxing morning tea/lunch in a lovely setting. I hope for you and your baby dragons that Mr, leaves them alone to do their own thing and there isn't pressure placed on them today. They need their down time also with them going back to uni. Hoping both S2 and Visual get to classes this week and can start building their confidence levels knowing they can do it - that is so importnat for both of them and certainly doesn't need any extra pressure from Mr.

It is good that your visitors can see such a dramatic change in Mr. and you seem to have done well in answering their questions - you now need that to be passed on to other family members so their concerns can be filtered back to Mr. Maybe then he will start taking notice that other people are also noticing the massive changes and over doing it.

Hoping you are having a very restful day Hon - will try to catch up with you later

Re: Far and Away

@Former-Member Really feeling for you with your hubby and all that you have to deal with Hon. You have so much to deal with having your own health issues but constantly having to look after hubby as well. It makes it so much harder when neither of you are sleeping properly and that alone is wearing. Many, many of these for you.

I think the Renegades can beat the Stars - definitely hoping so. There should be a rule about how many games you have to play to be able to participate in the finals me thinks - that would stop some of these sides having so many Australian players coming back in at the end of the season. I really thought your Sixers were going to do it the other night but their bowling was just a little off - much like ours the other night too. We were always going to be 20 runs short though - we have a poor record batting first so I wasn't surprised we lost. I will probably watch the game this afternoon but will do other things at the same time if I have the energy. Seeing as we are both going for the Renegades it is probably the case that the Stars will win - hope not but they do have a better side on paper.

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7 .... 👋💕💚💐

I am so glad you slept.

i have been resting up this afternoon after the walk in the park. It was too hot to sit outside, so we stopped for a light bite to eat and a coffee, but whether they appreciated it as much as I did or not, taking the visitors there gave me time out in a beautiful garden by water, and that was wonderful.

I will I’ll be taking them back out later to somewhere modern and busy, but also worth seeing, so just resting for a while now to restore some energy. The intensity of the last week is catching up with me, and I can feel the underlying fatigue.

My blood pressure settled across the week, which demonstrated that it was the same sort of stress-related event that I suffered last year, so again, this is telling me to load up on self-care, and not take on anything more than I have to.

Don’t worry, taking the visitors back out is something for me too ..... it will add to my exercise km for the day with something enjoyable, and it’s all happening at my pace, not mr.f&h’s ..... and he is grateful that I am doing this and relieving him of the “duty”. That makes for a less stressed mr.f&h too, which is better for the kids and me.

Re: Far and Away

Of course you would know that I would be worried you were doing too much of the 'entertaining' so very pleased it is something for you too Hon. I have been worried about you since you returned - you have had a lot of stress with returning to uni yourself, your kids having to deal with negotiating the same, finding a carer for D2 and the usual challenges with Mr. Hopefully that will all start to settle a bit for you now most of it is sorted @Faith-and-Hope

It sounds likes the morning walk was and time with your visitors was a break for you and that is just what you need. It is stressful in itself having visitors but finding those things that you enjoy and can take them along is lovely for everyone - and it is just as good that it gives Mr. a break and he can appreciate that you are helping out - makes life a bit easier for everyone.

I am watching the cricket this afternoon and getting a little housework done at the same time - doing things by degrees here but it is working for me this afternoon. Your niece will no doubt start talking at me soon for her dinner - she seems to start earlier these days but that is possibly because she is fed earlier in the morning with me being back at work. Toby just waits until it is time lol

Tomorrow is my first Monday at work - I am with the same class for most of the day and I have worked with this teacher before ...she was a past music teacher at my old school so I know her a little bit. We will be doing some Science, Maths and then writing in the afternoon block so all things I enjoy. I will mostly be working with an autistic boy for Science and Maths but a smaller group in the afternoon. No duties or extra responsibilities tomorrow so that should help me get through. I have been very tired after each day so this week will be a bigger test for me as Wednesday I have appointments as well as DBT - so a very long week. I will try to check in here as much as I can but maybe more afternoons than mornings. I do enjoy having messages from you though that I can read during the day. When I get my new school computer I will be able to check in during the day as well but that could be a couple of weeks away yet.

Your niece has started her talking already lol 😺 She will have to wait another hour though otherwise she will want her night biscuits early too and put all my times out - I really am a creature of habit. My sister had a laugh last week when she was describing to her partner which way I would drive to their place - she was spot on with the direction I would come - once I get into a routine I pretty much stick to it. He though it was hilarious that I had actually timed the different ways to get to their place and I always go the same way because it was the quickest lol
