A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

You are really blessed in so many ways Hon but that also doesn't take away from the hard times either - you have more than your fair share of those @Faith-and-Hope It is good though that you can see the beauty in amongst the rubble and as always you bring joy here to us - strength, compassion and wisdom are the words that I associate most with you and that does not go unnoticed here. We have certainly missed you Hon

Re: Far and Away

Hey Hon @Faith-and-Hope I suspect you are very busy settling back in and trying to get things organised for D2. Thought I'd continue posting here to you as that is what I am used to now.

Toby is doing much better - he seems to be back to his normal happy self - following me around life a shadow and snuggling in when he can. I am feeling a lot better too - must have been a 24 hour virus for both of us. Going to leave soon to go to the shop, chemist and petbarn then will need to do a few things when I get home. Still very tired so it will be a day that I do what I can when I can with plenty of resting in between.

I am really worried about money right now - have a couple of bills I need to pay but can't afford - might need to ask my sister to borrow some money until all my pay is sorted out properly. I can't call about that again until Tuesday as Monday is a public holiday here. Will have to use my credit card to get through this next couple of weeks and I hate doing that - have that for emergencies so if I use it I won't have that back up - very stressful right now but it doesn't seem I have much choice.

On a more positive note - Fridays I will be doing papier mache animals with some of the grade 6 kids - doing native animals so that will be fun. Going to start with a wallaby as that is the hardest to do - will need to help the kids do the wire base before they start with the papier mache - that will take up most of the first lesson then they can start to cover it the next week. Looking forward to doing that with a small group.

Hoping you are doing okay and gettng things for D2 sorted - it will be good to have that done so you can enjoy your time back at uni.

Re: Far and Away

I am thrilled to bits that you are doing papier-mâché with the kids @Zoe7 ..... that was one of the things on my hope list for you ..... that your art skills would be recognised as an asset and, rather than being a “girl Friday” as you are probably feeling at the moment while you don’t have a classroom of your own, to

me you are actually carrying the role of a specialising support teacher and art therapist / teacher ..... My thought is that if you are doing the papier-mâché with a small group, it is either to promote their skills and interest for remedial reasons, or for extension reasons.

If you haven’t been given an office book somewhere at school, I hope that is forth-coming in the not too distant future.

I am on my way to interview another potential carer. I hope it goes well. I would like to find my lady and get this settled.
