Re: FAR AND AWAY

I hear there is a fine line @Zoe7 . I totally agree with you.

It's like my parents. They don't want to retire because they think sitting at home doing nothing, with no routine will be depressing.

Please look after yourself.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

I am still thinking I may take some time off later in the term @tyme I will see how the increase in meds works out over the next few weeks and if I continue to be as tired as I am then it may be more beneficial to rest completely for a bit.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

Do you have long service leave @Zoe7 ?

If you take time off, do you think it will make it harder to go back later?

Is there an option to go part time?

Re: FAR AND AWAY

I do have LSL I can take @tyme I have no sick leave until August so would have to take LSL which is a minimum of 5 days. Sometimes it is harder to take the time and go back to the unkown. I would have to know who would be on the class as there are a couple of relief teachers I would not leave some of my kids with - so in that respect, it may be easier to not take time off. ....but if I am still struggling in a few weeks, I may not have a choice.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

I TOTALLY understand that @Zoe7

I can see how much you care for your class - and I think a lot of teachers do this - until they are burnt.

I know how unsetttling changes in a classroom teacher can be for students. My nibblings get so upset when their teacher isn't there.

At the same time, there's no point burning teachers out.

I hear you and I feel what you are going through. I really hope things work out. The holidays are a few weeks, away, right? I think they have mid year holidays?

No pressure to reply now. Take your time. I don't want to add any pressure for you.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

No pressure at all @tyme ❤️

I have a few little ones who do not like change at all so it is a hard call to make. I also do not want to get to the stage where I am not coping with work so if I start feeling that then I am confident I will take time off.

We have 6 weeks until the holidays so not yet half way through this term. The first few days will be rest as I am having a procedure on my back. I was supposed to have it done next week but with no leave left, I had to put it off. That does mean I have to manage the pain for longer - which is certainly adding to my stress and coping at present.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

Hi @Zoe7

I'm glad you have work hon, even though at times it can feel exhausting. That routine does help.

It can be such so tricky to need the meds but at the same time need to be able to function, especially during the day. Hopefully you can get that balance just right.

Happy to hear Tobes is ok. Hopefully the meds help and he can be back to his youthful self!!

Dear @Zoe7

Sending warm fuzzies for you and the fur family.

Hearing you re ... fine lines .... of being at work .... which is meaningful... and the needs of the littlies... and your need for rest. Can you rest in lunch breaks... would that help?

Its hard to decide, if the break is needed.

Self care, self care, self care

@Faith-and-Hope @tyme @Snowie @Eve7 @Shaz51 @Appleblossom

Popping in to say a quick hi to everyone.

I hate the changes here and how difficult it is to navigate. This was once a safe space with VERY meaningful connections but I no longer know where to go and how to get around the spaces. Our beautiful community is broken and that is very sad 😢
