Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: FAR AND AWAY

I am taking a breather from my studies for a few months @Snowie . 2025 was a really difficult year, and I am still picking up the pieces from the legal dramas of the few years before that. I am need up quite sick with a cold, and need to rest up to get over that …. My body and brain are both telling me to slow down. Much easier said than done sometimes. Basically I am getting up in the morning and “having a day”, working at something for as long as I feel able to, then resting up again. Still, it’s progress. The place is tidying up by degrees.

How are you going ? Kids back to school / other ?

Re: FAR AND AWAY

Hi @Faith-and-Hope

It sounds like you know what you and your body need hon. Recognising that isn't easy, so big well done.

You are right, however small/big it is, it is progress. A step in the right direction.

For the first time in 15 years, no kids at school! Both working/studying now. Don't miss doing the school run and getting stuck in all the traffic!

Re: FAR AND AWAY

Ooh yes, I didn’t miss all the traffic dramas, or getting dressed on the way to school for some, lol.

Re: FAR AND AWAY

The day was kind to me @Snowie 🙏♥️

I managed a nap in the middle of the day, and out for dinner tonight with some people I don’t know very well, but it was okay 😏

☝️ @tyme 👋

Howzit going @Zoe7 ?

Re: FAR AND AWAY

It has been a very hectic year. The kids are great but we have some challenges as a class @Faith-and-Hope @tyme @Snowie @Eve7 @Appleblossom @Shaz51 I have one little cherub who takes up a lot of time. I have help from an aid some of the time but he really needs someone with him all day. I had a couple of hours off for a medical appointment a couple of weeks ago and my ass principal took the class ...she did not have someone with him at that time and found it a little difficult to manage so understands the challenge. Thankfully, anytime there is a free lesson with relief staff is being offered to me to help out so I am grateful for that. On top of that I had an accident earlier in the year with a collapsing ladder and badly sprained my ankle so getting around has been hard. It is healing now but I need a brace for another few weeks to stabilise the ankle. As you could imagine, it is frustrating for me as I cannot do a lot around the house but I am usually too tired after work anyway. Pleased to have the Easter break to catch up on some work and have a break from the kids (they are gorgeous but it certainly has been a mentally straining year so far).

I hope everyone is doing as okay as they can be and there is some light in your days ❤️

Re: FAR AND AWAY

Hi @Zoe7 , it is lovely to hear from you as I miss seeing you around the forums.

It looks like a very busy year for you and I’m sorry about your ankle. Hope it continues to heal.

I’m off to Europe in a couple of weeks for a river cruise and a quick trip to London and Wales. Starting to get excited!

Take care ❤️

Thanks for sharing and tagging @Zoe7 .

Awwww. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident! That sounds terrible! First it was your hand and now your ankle. Please look after yourself. I want to cotton wrap you!

So so glad to hear from you.

As for the little poppit, he's probably doing all he knows. Do you have external staff who can come and support with behaviour assessments and plans? I hope the family are supportive.

I know first hand how hard working with little ones is. Just remember, you are making a huge difference to their lives. I wonder if they placed that student with you because they know you'll have the patience and experience?

Are you Grade 1 this year?
