Far and Away

Hey @Faith-and-Hope Saw you there - love seeing your name pop up - makes my night. Definitely going to have an early night here - so tired still. Have had a couple of naps today but deliberately didn't close the blinds so I wouldn't sleep for too long. Toby has been helping me in the garage - he is such a good supervisor

My sister came around this morning to help me move a few things then I tackled more of it in stages this afternoon. Still need to move a few more things and get it all measured up properly.

Have DBT, pdoc and GP tomorrow and then have to go to the chemist afterwards as I need a new script for one of my meds. DBT is an extra session but if I don't go to that then I have to pay for the pdoc otherwise it is all covered with my private health insurance.

It is pay day tomorrow also but I am not getting as much as I expected - about $500 less infact so money is going to be really tight again - have a few bills to pay as well. Lucky I have Bunnings gift cards still I can use to get the stuff for the wall. Going to take my sister with me to Bunnings as well as she has offered to pay for any extras I need until I start working again and can afford it myself.

Hi @Faith-and-Hope Have DBT, pdoc, gp and chemist all today. Heading off soon to shower and get organised. I really feel like going back to sleep but hoping a shower will wake me up a bit. It is quite cool here today - only supposed to be 19 degrees so will be a good day to get back out in the garage this afternoon if I hve enough energy when I get home. Need to do a little more moving of things and cleaning up so the wall area is ready to go - preparation is a pain but will help to put the wall up easier when I get the timber and sheeting I need. This has become a much bigger job than I intially though it would be but will be worth it when I finish.

Hope you have had a good day and sleep well. We are around half way until you are back so hoping the next month goes quickly - very much missing you Hon

Hi @Zoe7 and a wave to @Faith-and-Hope. We all miss you heaps Faith and Hope, but its always nice seeing you behind the support button and knowing you're still always around.

Zoe, you have a very busy day today, a busy week behind you and lots to do in coming days. Dont forget to have some down time too. On a side note, I noticed you 'supported' a post on my thread from a couple of days ago. I only just noticed that I did not have you tagged on that post of mine. My apologies, I dont know how I missed putting you on. It was not an intentional omission I assure you.

Hi @Zoe7 and everyone here.

Just dropping you off some 🐶❤ Zoe as it seems you've rubbed off on me. I'm a cat and a dog person now (yep you called it 😝). My little Tank friend apparently was whining when I drove away yesterday which I thought was pretty cute. This morning's dog adventure has come in the form of this adorable creature we saved from a scary dog vs car run along a main road.

Friend has put his name down to be contacted if the furball isn't picked up (no chip or collar 😕) and in between my appointments today we're planning on visiting a shelter. Friend is looking for a dog as he needs more love than I give him 😉😆 and I have said I'm happy to dog sit while he is at work. It's a good compromise - a dog around but without the huge responsibility.

Any news on your friend and plans?

@Former-Member It is absolutely no drama Hon - I read that thread when I am in the right mindset anyway and keep up with how you are going. I read everything I am tagged in but often only resd threads I am not when I have more time or - as I said - am in the right headspace. I'll catch up on your recent post soon too.

@CheerBear I got another message from friend this morning but haven't replied as I was running late for DBT - I'll message him back before I head out for my pdoc appointment.

I love the idea that your friend wants a dog and that you can dogsit - it will be a great introduction for you to having youor own dog but without those added responsibilities of it being only yours. The LF will love that as well. I don't think it will be too long before you will want your own dog though - they certainly get under your skin when you do have them

@Faith-and-Hope Was thinking about you when chatting to the facilitator this morning as she was really happy with how I am doing and I thought how proud you would be of me too - it is those little moments that I catch myself thinking of you and hoping that you are doing okay

@Faith-and-Hope @CheerBear Friend update - received a message back from him today saying that when I had said that my appoinment was cancelled this morning that he was going to invite me around. He didn't but asked if I would have went if he had - I said yes!!!

I added that I am pretty free over the next couple of days so if he did ask I would call around. HUGE day for me - things are happening in so many facets of my life and I am dealing with them - who would have thought any of this would have been happening for me hey!!!!!

Big update - I met Him this afternoon and we got on really well. I was nervous driving there but the nerves soon eased as the conversation just flowed. He is a real talker so there were none of those awkward silences. He knows a little about my depression and where I have been for the last couple of years and I felt comfortable talking to him about that. We both agreed we would like to see each other again so he is going to come and visit me next time. I honestly don't know where this will go but for now I feel good that we have finally met. So much happening for me today - such a MASSIVE day - don't think I have felt this good about just being Me for a very long time and it is a good feeling to have. I know some of you will be doing cartwheels in your minds for me and to be honest I am doing the same - such a big day and yet I have gotten through it quite calmly and that is massive also.
