A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

Unfortunately it is quite loud @Snowie but Toby seems to have gotten used to it and has stopped barking at every noise. I think he has worn himself out and is now asleep. Clover is also inside so it must be too much for her also otherwise she would be outside.

Re: Far and Away

That must make it hard @Zoe7 Are they at least quiet at night?

Animals have such sensitive hearing so it must be loud for Clover to be inside.

Re: Far and Away

Yes they finish at about 5pm @Snowie They were working on weekends for a while too but had last weekend off - so that was good. I have part of their scaffold set up in my backyard so they can access the roof. It isn't in the way but I hope it is not there long as it means anyone could climb into my backyard from next door when the workers are not there. I am not overly concerned as their property has a big fence that is locked at night but someone could get in if they really wanted to. I lock the back door but don't have a lock on the garage door from the back so anyone could go through it and open the garage door to take things and leave.

Re: Far and Away

Hopefully the scaffolding isn't there for too much longer @Zoe7 That was kind of you to let them set it up on your land in the first place.

Glad they don't go too late and at least it is quiet at night. Hopefully they don't work this weekend either.

Re: Far and Away

It has been a long day of noise @Snowie which has not helped. I am going to go to work tomorrow because we have a special afternoon planned and I don't want to let the kids down. It will also be a break from the noise.

Hi @Snowie @Zoe7 💕 and anyone else around 👋

I am doing okay-ish. Had to see to other stuff with some urgency, so my studies have suffered a bit. Feels like I am always picking up the pieces, but I know it’s not forever, and the tide is turning.

Love the flowers @Zoe7 ❣️. Colour for everyone. Listening along here. Hugs xxx

Re: Far and Away

I am really sorry that your studies are suffering from all the legals and ex-shite Hon but also really happy to hear the tide is turning. I hope you are beginning to see the end to it all and find that life you deserve @Faith-and-Hope Sending you some extra love and strength to help you through 💖

@Snowie @Former-Member @TAB @Shaz51 We had a Mother's (Family's) afternoon tea today. I counted 60 people in my classroom at one stage 😛 We had Mum's, Dad's, Aunties, Grandmothers and siblings all in the one room - to say it was hectic is an understatement but I was 'advised' by my kids to stay out of the way and just wash up lol

I have to share some of the loveliest moments - a couple of my kids decided they wanted to be waiters/waitresses and to 'train' some of their classmates. I watched as they loaded small plates with glue sticks, pencils, etc. and made their classmates walk around the room carry their items. Once they had successfully navigated their way around the room without dropping anything they were told they had been trained and could now be another waiter/waitress. The students then made up books to take orders, produced menus to give to all attending and posters showing parent's etc. where to go. They set up a table near the door to welcome everyone and give out menus then also walked around the room with plates for anyone that had been missed 'taking orders'. The kids had already prepared all the food and set up the table ...and one boy pushed me away from the milkshake making lol (he had to stand on a stool to reach the blender).

I am totally exhausted from standing all day and still not being 100% but OMG how gorgeous are my kids and how much I am pleased I made it today to see it all unfold.
