I agree with you re people deliberately being destructive / breaking other people's property. It not necessary and it's not okay.

On a lighter note I absolutely think we should laugh when we can @Zoe7 - through all life's ups and downs (and there's been quite a few lol) I often think my sense of humour has helped me through!

My kids at school got my sense of humour @FloatingFeather - not sure if that is a good thing though lol We did laugh a lot - yet another reason why I loved that class last year.

I don't think my fur babies get it but then they cannot talk back ...even thought they try at times hahahahaha

Re: Far and Away

My dad was in a nursing home for a few years before he passed away @Shaz51 and myself and my brother (when he was able) were his only visitors the whole time so I understand the guilt around how you feel. I started to realise that even if I went everyday I would still feel guilty. I needed to give myself permission to let go of the guilt and know I was doing everything I was able to do for my dad whilst taking care of myself and the rest of my family. That's all any of us can do my friend.

Going to head back out into the garage for a bit longer @Shaz51 then have a nice long shower and settle in for the evening.

Re: Far and Away

In the very beginning I was going three days a week and washing my dad's clothes because he was worried that people would steal his things. It soon become apparent that I couldn't sustain that so overtime (an adjustment for both of us) I eventually went every Sunday. After a while it became our routine and my dad sort of just came to think that Sunday was our visiting day.

You're right @Shaz51 - it's all about the balance for everyone involved.

I wish you all the best, I know how it feels ❤️
