Jetlag takes about a week to settle I'm told, and I'm sure there's son Celtic wisdom to get over your post viral fatigue How's WH coping with his obcessive routines while travelling? A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

@Former-Member I have been to the dentist so many times over the last year that it is becoming the norm 😮 The last two teeth the dentist tried to do a root canal on both cracked and had to come out so we are very much hoping that doesn't happen again. I have a mouthguard to wear at night to try to reduce the pressure ...but keeping it in will be an issue - already come out night 1.

How are you today Hon?

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Snowie Been a nice, quiet (semi) restful day. I have the cricket on and am cleaning up my Christmas decorations. I am also having a big clean up of the spare room (which I started last week after I did the garage) so have been able to do a little more today. The trailer is already full but I am sure I can fit more on lol I am not doing much at a time though as I am aware of my energy levels as well as needing rest to get rid of the infection and keep the tooth pain under control. Luckily that has substantially decreased today and I am feeling much more comfortable 👍

What have you been up to today?

Sending some extra love to you too @Faith-and-Hope

Re: Far and Away

Glad to hear that you are feeling more comfortable @Zoe7 Trying to deal with pain affects us both physically and mentally. Well done on getting some things done today. Watching the cricket too.

Have been busy today. Went to office works to get the kids organised for when they go back to school and then went and got both of them school shoes. Gee it adds up money wise. I wish their feet would stop growing!!

Re: Far and Away

LOL @Snowie Shoes and uniforms do add up and they do continue to grow 😔 Our school supplies are included in their fees and come out of our class budgets so parents do not have to buy them themselves.

It is a big job you have done already today Hon so I hope you are resting in front of the cricket now with Izzy by your side 🐶💙

Re: Far and Away

Shoes, uniform and books certainly do add up! That is good about your school supplies. Unfortunately I have to buy all of that. And as they get older they like specific things too. I have been selling their old text books and buying some text books second hand so that helps in the cost too.

It took me a lot of energy and some prn to do it today. There were lots of people at the shops too so got in and got out as quickly as possible.

Have got Izzy on my lap snoring softly. I wish I could get to sleep as easily as she does!!!

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7 so sorry to hear about your tooth. I am having a similar experience with my teeth a lot of discomfort and one falling out on Christmas Eve and one very sore one probably to be removed soon.

Waiting on a denture to fill the hole - unfortunately an eye tooth.

I'm doing ok. Finished work at the refuge as was only a temping job. Found it a bit difficult due to lived experience of family violence - rather triggering in fact.

I'm doing ok Zoe but feeling a little flat Hope you are having a good day 😊.

Re: Far and Away

I didn't realise it was only a short term role @Former-Member. It is good though in several respects - 1. you got the job, 2. you stuck it out and 3. those triggers will no longer be there.

Hopefully your next job will not have the same triggers. I used to work at a women's shelter and it would take a lot to get through some days and then switch off myself. I was great whilst at work but would have my times that I fell apart when home. It is a hard job to do even when you do not have your own similar issues going on - so well done for getting through.

I hope you can give yourself the space to realise what a great job you have done Hon and pile on the self-care for a while 💖
