@Emelia8 Gentle hugs
Hey @Eve7
@Zoe7 Good moments in school and teaching environments definitely made a difference to me in life. I was shocked to encounter those who devalued teaching and were into the social climbing, glamour or high paid jobs. Never forget the potential for good in the future of your kids. Primary teaching skills are not about knowledge transfer per se but exactly what you were raising. In this internet age, access to knowledge is so much easier, it is all those interpersonal observations and skills that matter.
Regarding our recent socialising; partly it is about supporting my son to engage with others in real life with optimism and a bit of healthy fun, but also learn a bit of discernment. I am hoping my son holds true to his anti drinking and does not lead astray, take what is good and let the rest go. He is smart, but no real school from year 7 so missing a lot of that experience. Now I think about it my mother did not have school from Year 3-4 so that is now a repeating theme over generations. Noting the patterns and context of individuals in my family matters. People often blame me for the bad outcomes, but cannot be bothered to hear the full story. Maybe my analytical side has a reason, it certainly did not mean I did not have deep feelings or emotions or attachments to my family, but there was so much disruption. Lovely to chat with you ... cos it goes straight to the meaningful stuff and sustain as for months of not talking. Love Apple
@Faith-and-Hope Mindful of you and yours and hope you find a way through the family shenanigans.
