The end of term is getting closer

A couple of weeks to go @Snowie and whilst I am not looking forward to the end of the year because I am going to miss so many of the kids next year - I also really need the break. I have been holding it all together (mostly) for the kids but finding it really hard getting through each day. Seeing my psych again this week then will have a break - not sure if that will be good or not ...will see I suppose.

I have one more appointment with my psych this week and then she goes on holidays. Not sure how I will do either.

She wanted to see me again sooner rather than later @Snowie and I am glad she could fit me in. I have only been seeing her for about 6 months - and in that time I have been pretty much just staying connected and checking in - now I need a bit more and I could not be in better hands.

I know exactly where you are sitting Hon - whilst I may not need that same level of support now, I did for a long time and it is really hard when you know it is not there. Lean on us as much as you need sweetheart. Love you 💙

I'm glad she could fit you in @Zoe7 Sometimes we need that extra help and I am glad you have someone to guide/help you through. Even better that you have connected with her in that short space of a time.

My psych and pdoc will be taking some time off. I do speak to both of them once more before xmas so hoping that helps a little. They deserve holidays too so I guess I will just go day to day.

Day by day for me at the moment too @Snowie I have so much to do before the end of the year but can only see today at the moment.

I am thankful for my psych and the relationship we already have - it makes such a difference when you feel both connected and safe with someone. I can imagine it is going to be pretty tough for you Hon - yes they deserve a break also but it does make it hard for us. There needs to be contingencies put in place across the Christmas/New Year period right across MH services. So often those that need it most are left in the dark (literally) ...it is not as though we can just take time out from our lives and pretend everything is okay.

It is hard across the holiday period @Zoe7 Unfortunately are MI does not take a break. Will speak to my psych on Wednesday about things I can whilst she is on holidays. I will just have to use services I don't really like using.
