Far and Away

Yes @Faith-and-Hope last week. I have not done what I wanted to do outside and with the rain coming over the next few days I won't be able to - so will need to wait until we have a clear weekend. I am not stressed about it though - can take my time. I have a few things inside to finish and plenty of work to do - so the rest of the holidays will be doing that. In between visiting Dad and hopefully taking him home in the next couple of days - still no word from him though. If I haven't heard from him before I go to the vet then I will call him to see what is happening.

If this event had to happen for your Dad, I am so glad it occurred in the holidays for you, so you could be there for him without the conflict of interest with your class. There is also time for some self care before being back on class.

I agree @Faith-and-Hope I have had to cancel a few things but nothing that could not be put off. I will need to be on top of planning etc. so I can spend more time at my parents' for a while - Dad will need a lot done for him and I can't expect Mum and my sister to do it all. They can handle the day to day things but there will be bigger things he will need help with ...and to be honest, he will probably not let Mum or my sister do those anyway. I will just need to be careful with my back and own energy levels.

Had a very long couple of days @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Snowie @Shaz51 Two trips to my parents yesterday, hospital visit to see Dad, two trips to the other side of the city, one trip into the city and several trips to an outer suburb - all yesterday ...think I did just over 300km all up - all to get things ready for Dad to return home. Today a trip to the hospital to pick up Dad and take him home then a little more running around to get a few things I needed. Finally home and exhausted but I need to finish off some things for school next week. Luckily it is a 3 day week for the kids as Thursday is a public holiday in the south and Friday is a PD day. I think by next Thursday I will be keeping Toby company on the couch 😔👍

Hi @Zoe7 sounds like you have been flat out busy. 300 km's is a lot of driving.

So pleased your Dad is home and hoping everything goes well for him and your family.

Hi @Former-Member 💖 Unfortunately now I have to do all the work that has been put on the backburner this week. My plan though is to work as long as I can tonight and most of tomorrow so I can rest some of Sunday before going back to work Monday. My babies are 'helping' me lol but it shouldn't be long before they are both asleep.
