@Former-Member @Eve7 I didn't sleep a lot last night but have slept all morning. Feeling quite drained 😔 Going to head outside shortly and mow the backyard - it will not take long as the grass is quite short but it will give me some fresh air, a little easy exercise and hopefully a sense of achievement that I have done something today.

@Eve7 We were smashed last night but I did expect that so whilst disappointed, Penrith absolutely deserved the win. They were the better team all year and proved that last night.

@Former-Member Need to give Tobes a haircut and bath - was going to do that yesterday when I got home but after the sad news I just couldn't get motivated. At this stage it might have to wait for another day again - see how I go after mowing the lawn.

Have done the backyard @Former-Member - only took 10 minutes. I think I will do the front too - that will only take 5 minutes to mow but I might also trim some plants. I have three that are shaped into balls ...been shaping them gradually over many years. I used to do it all by hand but now I have a small hedge trimmer which makes the job so much quicker and easier. If I have an energy left afterwards I will start moving all the pots out back so I can remove the concrete to pave ...night be nice to get the sledgehammer out 👍

Hi @Zoe7 Really sorry to hear of the loss of your family friend. 💔 As for your family not telling you about it ... hmmm, not sure. Maybe they thought they were protecting you from more bad news? But they would have to have realised you would hear of their passing eventually. So that doesnt make any sense either.

As for the NRL GF, it was disappointing. But very similar to the AFL, where one team has been best all year, and went on to dominate the GF.

Best team of each code won. But it would be a disappointing spectacle for the huge crowds who turned up at each GF hoping for an exciting competitive match. Both GFs were done and dusted before half time unfortunately.

Oh well, there is next year to look forward to now. For your Eels and Lions. And my Swans and Raiders. Not so far away.

Hi @Zoe7 things are a little rough here. Been "sinking" ( hope that's right expression ) since having Covid - feeling really flat.

Had depot today and not allowed to drive. Been doing some cooking for tonight and later this week - a four person meal to have with Mum and Dad.

Mum really annoyed with me because been having a hard time and not literally - swimming.

But I'm ok 🍯 nothing compared to what you been through in last 48 hours.

Would love to have energy to be on the sledge hammer xx

@Emelia8 We both had our teams beaten by a better opposition in grand finals this year. Fortunately, I think your Swans have a good future ahead - they continue to add to their strengths with very talented younger players as well as get the most out of the more senior players. I am not sure how our Lions will be next year - we potentially have a couple of very good players coming in but no doubt the present issues around our coach will take a toll ....need to wait and see outcomes I guess. Parra are also losing some talented players so not sure next season will be as successful.

@Former-Member Whatever you are dealing with DOES matter Hon. We all have things to deal with and whilst situations may be different, they are no more or no less as important. You were very tired with COVID so give yourself time to recover. That does not always happen overnight (I know that so well). It took me over 2 years to recover from the after effects of influenza - I was very low and very unwell - so give yourself all the time you need. We will be here to continue to support and encourage you along the way 💖
