Re: Far and Away

I am glad you got some rest today @Zoe7 It sounds like you really needed it.

Hoping that your knee holds up for you hon, it is hard when it affects us so much

Re: Far and Away

@Snowie My knee is okay tonight but I have been off it all day and continuing to take pain relief and anti-inflammatories - so that is undoubtedly helping. I have been working non-stop also but have finally cleared all the paperwork and filed everything. Some things have been sitting for over a year to be sorted so it really is a big job done - and I am really pleased to finally have it all done. Tomorrow there will be more organising for the class this year and although it will take time I feel it will be a lot easier to tackle now the rest is out of the way. It's funny how we seem to have a clearer mind and more motivation when some of the things we have been putting off have finally been done.

I am going to find something to watch for a while now to relax then hopefully can get some sleep. One day to go and then back to work ...cannot believe it really - does not even feel like we have had holidays and now back to work ...time has gone so quickly 😔 At least I will be starting with most things (work wise) done that I wanted to get done. My knee injury has stopped me doing things around the house but I can't help that so am not going to worry about it - when I can, I will do those things ...for now - just get through each day and hope that I can cope.

Re: Far and Away

Morning @Zoe7 @Snowie and anyone else around 👋💕☕️

Yesterday was pretty heavy in medical stuff for D2 @Zoe7, and by the end of it I was exhausted. She is so vulnerable in the context of both the pandemic and our personal situation.

Slowly getting more clean up and organisation seen to.

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope You are doing everything possible to keep D2 safe and well Hon. She is so lucky to have such a wonderful, caring and proactive Mum. Of course it is so very hard for you both with how vulnerable she is but you cannot do anymore than you are and we can all hope that keeps her safe. 💖

Getting some more clean up and organisation must feel good - I know it does for me. I have done so much this morning despite only getting a few hours sleep - running on adrenalin methinks but that is okay because I am getting it done. I quite enjoy the process of making the labels and signs - and the proforma for each is pretty much done already. Need to add some little animals that each student has chosen for their own labels - that takes time but is also enjoyable to do. I have gone with a specific theme this year after discussion with the students in our new class meeting at the end of the year.

Woodland creatures is a liv lay theme @Zoe7. I saw a beautiful set of linen online yesterday that was woodland themed. Just gorgeous.

Re: Far and Away

It is pretty cute - the kids chose it too which makes it 'theirs' - I have just sourced the images and put it all together for them. It has been a lot of work to develop the proformas but once that is all done it can be used, changed, adapted, etc. for everything within the classroom. ...and I enjoy putting images etc. together so whilst it takes time, it is also fun to do @Faith-and-Hope

I am taking a break for a couple of hours - going to have a shower and rest for a while. I don't think I will get everything finished today but there are a couple of things that can wait as we won't need them for a few weeks. I can work on them during the week and print them out to laminate and cut next weekend.

What are you and D2 up to today?

I have @Snowie Had a shower and did some 'de-forestation' of legs also lol Clover is chasing a skink's tail - I saved the skink and put it back in the garden but the moving tail is enough for Clover to be amused. Tobes is laying down watching her as if to say my little sister is silly lol

How has your day been?
