A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Faith-and-Hope Been to the GP - it was a looong appointment. We have made a plan to go back to work - going to see how the first week goes and then I go back to see her. If I am struggling with it all then I will need to take some time off. She wanted me to take the first 4 weeks off to start with but I want to start with the kids - it is hard because I am very anxious and not at all feeling good but I feel I would feel worse if I do not at least start with the kids, get them settled in and see how I go.

My test results were a little high in some areas and my BP is high as well so have some things I need to do and some retesting when I go back to see her in a few weeks. I also have to wear a knee brace for a few weeks and see how that is when I go back - plus some antibiotic ointment for the graze that is not healing as well as it should be. We also discussed my ongoing pdoc situation - she is happy for me to see my present pdoc every 3 months if she can sort out the psychologist she mentioned more regularly ...then we have time to find someone else as the person she would like me to see is only back from leave working part-time and only seeing some of her previous patients. ...but we have a plan 👍

I dropped some more things into school but did not stay - no point really as I couldn't put anything away. I will go in one day next week to sort out the kids' books - by that time I should have labels done to print out and can put on their books - so much I still cannot do though.

How is your day going?

Hi @Snowie @utopia @Shaz51 @Emelia8 How is everyone today?

Re: Far and Away

That is all sounding rather oositive @Zoe7 👍

I have come outside to do some much needed cleaning while there is a breeze and it’s not too hot.

After that I am hoping to complete an arty project that is for myself 😏

Re: Far and Away

It is, on the whole, positive @Faith-and-Hope I am still very concerned about starting back with the mask wearing but am willing to try - I have some medication help if I need to reduce the anxiety. It is impossible to explain to anyone (that is not my care team) what effect it has because that would mean disclosing trauma ...and I can't/won't do that. ...see how I go.

What is your arty project - a clue if you cannot say - what medium are you working with?

Re: Far and Away

That sounds super cool @Faith-and-Hope Have fun with it Hon 😁

I have done a little painting this afternoon - painted the undercoat on the top half of the giraffe and put a top layer over the outsides of my peacock painting to soften the colours a little. I will see how it comes up tomorrow when dried and maybe do one more coat. Not feeling the best tonight but want to watch the tennis so trying to stay up ...laying down when the waves of nausea hit me then sitting up again when it passes so I don't fall asleep. Tobes is sound asleep though - he has been following me all afternoon so the poor little mite is worn out lol How is Jay going - any more escape attempts?

Re: Far and Away

Yeah. Jay comes running to any opening door when he is in the vicinity and gets miffed when he gets blocked. It’s clear that he was used to having outside time. It’s something I will need to factor in when we move somewhere permanent.

Re: Far and Away

It is hard to keep them inside when they have been used to outside time @Faith-and-Hope Clover sits near the door if I have it closed and she wants to go out ...but I am lucky she stays in the yard - not a jumper or climber at all but a great bug and lizard chaser lol

Been up for a while. Watched the tennis and fell asleep on the couch with Tobes but will try to head to bed soon. I want to get to my parents' place as early as I can tomorrow (today) so I have a fair chunk of the day left to get a few things done at home - health dependant ...the nausea seems to have passed but will have to see how I am tomorrow when I have more medication.

Watched a movie with D2.
Jay is crunching through his biscuits now.

I’m crocheting, but will try to get to be by pumpkin hour 🎃
