No Hon - Fibromyalia has not come up. Did have chronic fatigue for a long time and I don't think you ever really get over that - just learn to cope as best you can and hope it doesn't return as bad again.

I have my regular blood tests in a few weeks but I will bring it up with my GP when I see her after that @Sans911 👍 I am also finding it difficult to wear the CPAC mask as it triggers me a lot - have tried a few different ones and the one I have now has been the best - but there is still that suffocating feeling a lot when I am asleep - often wake up panicking - so it is a difficult balancing act - need it to get some sort of quality sleep but often have those horrible flashbacks

Re: Far and Away

I think it might be worth just checking. You have a lot of extreme fatigue, pain, lack of sleep-all symptoms of fibro. Yes, cpap masks are hard to wear even without ptsd triggers. They literally force air into your lungs, so it does feel uncomfortable. There are models now that just cover the nose (like a piggy nose lol). I hope for your sake you don't have fibromyalgia, but it would be helpful to rule it out.

I'm actually having some 'good' and fibro days. I'm totally exhausted, and the 40 odd heat isn't helping, but my pain is minimal. That makes it a bit easier to cope. Yes, I am learning to live with my fibro, but some days are incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.

I will bring it up with my GP next time I see her @Sans911 👍 I have thought about it before tbh - just put it down to my ongoing issues with other things. The fatigue and constant aching is hard to deal with. I used to just think the aching was back related but it is more than just my legs now - feel it everywhere!

I can fully appreciate those 'minimal pain' days - makes life so much easier to deal with. I am glad you are having some of them Hon - and finding ways to deal with fibro - so hard on you

👍 Good thought @Sans911 ..... my best friend has fibro. I didn't think of it for @Zoe7 , but I think you're right. Worth checking .....

Re: Far and Away

Hi @Zoe7

I use a cpap mask and machine. That feeling of claustrophobia seems to be quite common, I believe. I have found that using the machine while I am awake, just realxing, allows me to feel comfortable with the mask, and also appreciate the gentle pressure of the air into my lungs. Just a method that I have used for a sense of personal assurance and efficacy of the system, and a peaceful conscious acceptance of the mask.

There have been a few times when I have woken without the mask, having unknowingly removed it in my sleep. Also a few times I have woken, almost in a panic, and have had to reassure myself that everything was really ok.

There are forums for cpap users that may also be helpful in hearing the perspectives of other users and help in dealing with issues that we might have.

With My Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Far and Away

Hi @HenryX I appreciate your response here but my difficulties and reactions are as a result of a trauma response - I cannot go into detail here as it would be too graphic but I nearly died as a result of not being able to breath by the actions of another. My fear of sleeping/not waking up has been a long running battle ...as has my hope numerous times that I would not wake up and it would all finally be over ...so it is a very delicate balancing act (of which I am not presently winning ).

@Faith-and-Hope Off to help my sister and her partner clear their block in a couple of hours. It is going to be tiring work but with all three of us it should get done in a few hours.

How are you doing Hon?

Re: Far and Away

Morning @Zoe7 ..... 🤗💞☕️

Whoops ..... I started posting something here in the early hours of the morning and fell asleep in the middle of it. I woke up and posted it, but it must have timed out cos it's not here .....,

I was up really late responding to a couple of nasty emails I had received right before Christmas (of course !!) ..... but my legal team are really good at giving me the heads-up so I didn't open them until yesterday. I feel better now that they are behind me, but my responses will, without doubt, ignite a reaction.

For now at least J have a space of time to just get on with my work in a lovely house that is not falling down around my ears.

I know today will be very tiring for you Hon, but rewarding too. Please, please, please watch your energy levels tho ..... reserve a little live for @Zoe7 too, huh ?❣️

Re: Far and Away

It has not been as taxing a day as I expected @Faith-and-Hope We only spent a couple of hours at the block as my sister's partner had gone early and done a large part of it. There is still a truckload to get done but we are going to tackle that tomorrow. I have a suspicion though that I won't be needed - my sister's partner is much like me ...will keep going until it is done (or he runs out of time lol). I have a trailer load to take to the tip but will put on what I have to take from home as well. I am going to have a rest now for an hour or so then do a bit more in my own garden (that will mean only one trip to the tip tomorrow).

Had a bit of a teary day yesterday - worked in Cat's corner cutting back all the overgrown climbers from next door - so it was doubly sad ...thinking of both Cat and my old neighbour I am going to do a bit between our houses this afternoon ...when I have done that in the past my neighbour used to come out and help (he would say he was going to get around to it and now felt guilty - but I didn't mind, was happy to do it for us). It is going to be strange not having him there to help but it needs to be done so I will just have to get into it despite my sadness.

I am really pleased that you have such a great legal team (and they give you the heads up) - no doubt that a/h is up to his usual tricks but you are showing your strength and determination to not let him get what he wants ...you deserve only the best so it is good also to know you are in a place at the moment that is not falling down around you and you can work on what you want in your own time. . Are you going to stay in the west now?
