A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Aww you have such a big heart @Shaz51! Your feelings in this matter just as much. Hope you are all helping and holding each other

Re: Far and Away

So typical of you @Shaz51 ... thinking of step D1 and SIL, and not yourself. I suppose you have had quite some time to get used to the idea of not being able to have a child of your own. Where as for your SD1 and SIL, its a new development. And no doubt very raw. There are options of course, and some of the options could be right for them. I am sorry their situation brings home your own painful feelings. 💕

I have not come to that place yet either Shaz.

I Always Wanted to have Children (since 20yo or so)(now almost 53) - My marriage ended partly due to conflict over the Having Children issue.

She decided she did not want (at the end).

I've not been with anyone (no partner) for 11 years now - So my hopes are fading away...

Hugs.

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Eve7 💕

I note that you included me in your post, although my own situation is somewhat different to @Shaz51 , in that I was capable of having a child of my own, but my husband did not want any more children. 😔 So I never had any, much to my regret. Although I am grateful that I get along well with my 2 stepchildren and subseqently my grandkids. I think you are similar in that respect @Shaz51 ? @Adge ... that is a sad situation to be in, with your ex not wanting to have children. Similar to myself and my husband I suppose, only the opposite. I'm sorry for your sadness over this. However, it is not too late for you. I hold out hope that there are still some chances out there for you. Perhaps even by way of adoption or fostering?

How are you today @Eve7 , any talk of going home today? Did you manage to get any sleep despite all the wires and beeping sounds from equipment?

Re: Far and Away

My heart aches for those who would have been wonderful parents to their own babies. I am glad you get on so well with your steppies.

I’m not so good today but still hoping to go home @Emelia8 This place is boring.

Do you have plans for today?

💜🤗💜

Re: Far and Away

No plans for me today @Eve7 😔 just another day to get through really.

I hope they feel you are well enough to let you go home today then, and then do tests as an outpatient on Monday.

I'm sure if they are concerned about you feeling 'not so good today' then they will (and should) keep you in. In which case, what can we find for you to do, and to help with the boredom? Any games or something on your phone? Any books or magazines you can read?

Emelia 💕
