Far and Away

I feel so lucky to have them too @Zoe7 ..... they are there for me too. It keeps me from being alone, like 'he' had planned for me. That's not to say I want them to remain dependent, because I don't .... but I have their love and company here in the east.

That really is comforting @Faith-and-Hope I hope he gets what is coming to him! You absolutely have not deserved even a little of what he has dished out - what a pathetic piece of work he is ...but you have your baby dragons and no doubt they are seeing him for what he is too ...sad for them but he has made his bed...

...and you will never be alone because you are such a wonderful person that so many want to be around you/know you ...my world is certainly richer for having you in it 🌈😍

My world is richer for having you in it too @Zoe7. I am so grateful to have found the forums when I did and have had a forum family to walk along with me. It's so strange to think that when I arrived here I was still so much in love with him and wanting to support him through his illness because I believed in him so much ..... NPD masks ..... unbelievable ! .... amd that they can be maintained for so long. It's also morbidly fascinating that they follow such a distinct pattern that once you know what that is, all the confusing bits of life where you though you had misunderstood stand out as 'word salad' instead ..... and the times they were ' uncharacteristically' aggressive you can recognise was a breakout of the devaluation stage, just to mess with your head. Unmistakeable once you're educated about it of course ..... so glad I am free of that part of it all now. Have to remain strong and patient while the rest comes out and gets dealt with.

There is no-one else I know that could do all that you have done and with so much dignity and grace throughout @Faith-and-Hope I do honestly wish that you have never had to endure any of this but the example you set for everyone is truly inspiring. The upside is that you now get to live the life you want and those dreams you may have once had can be reality (when this is all over and the dust settles of course). We do never know when our lives will change but I see this one for you as a new beginning with so much light still to come!

Thank you so much @Zoe7 ...... I am grateful for the life I once had. It was truly amazing, but I can see now that if I had not been committed to it, to us achieving it, it would not have been. There is still some pretty scary stuff to get through, but I am just as grateful for this new beginning.

Will be right here with you as you continue to walk this road @Faith-and-Hope ...and hopefully that scary stuff will be a little less so with all our support Keep being You but also fight for what you deserve ...because you deserve the world 😍

I am going to try to sleep again ...feeling pretty worn out now so very much hoping it won't take long - going to snuggle up with Clover (for as long as she will let me) and Tobes...so grateful for my babies
